Without doubt the best curry house in the U.K. Bar none!
So many good memories there and even though I left the town 18 years ago the owner still recognised me when I went there 15 years later!!
Read couple of negative comments about the restaurant regarding decoration and cleanliness. Once I visited for dinner and found this is one of the good place for Indian food in Basingstoke. Been couple of time, fantastic food, friendly staff, quick service. Good for group and couple as well.
Popped in to order a spur of the moment takeaway. Haven't been here for years, but the food was really lovely.
Interior is a bit tired and shabby looking.
Staff were friendly and helpful

I don't get to go to this restaurant anywhere near enough. The service is quiet but friendly and the food is superb. Also their prices are very fair. Lovely special treat.
Very friendly staff who were also very helpful with suggestions of what to order. Easy to find. Highly recommended
Been going there on and off for 30 years now. It's not changed at all. Good food, good service.
The building is very dated , but the takeaway food is always excellent, loved the chicken green jalfrezi
Excellent as always I've known the owner around 30 years highly recommended
First time ordering and I'll be ordering again. I had a tikka masala, it was pure heaven, tastes as how exactly it's meant to taste, a little spice, but not too spicy, the ones I've had before at other places were so mild, but not this one - just right!
My daughter had the biryani and she said it's the best she has ever had, the rest of the family even agreed it was so so good.
We have had countless different Indian takeaways and I must say, this place is far far the best I've had. Definitely coming back for more next time we all fancy an Indian takeaway!
Celebrated my son's 23rd birthday here last night. First class meal and the service was second to none. I don't normally leave reviews but these guys really deserve a positive shout. This has been my go to Indian restaurant since the 1980's and I don't intend changing any time soon!
Dropped in for a cheeky curry, chicken pathia (L) and a chicken Dhansak (R).
Both good portions and we'll prepared. The pathia was red hot, in a good way. Whilst the Dhansak was so so.
I did have a keema naan aswell which was spot on.
Verdict: Recommended 😎
Updated Jan 2023:
Visited again with some friends, was slightly concerned about the recent negative reviews but safe to say it was still excellent food and we all enjoyed our meals.
Price wise, still reasonable compared to a few others but worth it none the less.
Previous 2019:
From the outside, the place looks a bit worn down...to put it nicely...BUT it's made up for by the great food and friendly staff! First time here and was more than happy with the quality of the food, the portion size and cost. I'd be happy to return again!
