Just read an article on the Gazette about the top Chinese eateries in Basingstoke and was shocked this place wasn't mentioned. Admittedly, it's a take out and not a restaurant but the food is sublime!! The variety and choice is beyond anything available elsewhere. They have a vegetarian menu that simply destroys any competitors. Also have I mentioned the food is amazing!! Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else for my Chinese food fix.

My only *issue* was that the shrimp egg fried rice I bought was lemony. A bit too lemony for my taste but my 6 year old liked it.

Spicy chicken and roast pork chow is my go to dish.
Chicken balls with curry sauce lovely.
Prawn toast is a must too.

Great take away, it's superb food special meals for 2 and 3 people are fabulous!
The rest of the menu is also excellent, I would say one of the best if not the best take away in town!

Meal for 2, delivered really quickly. Happy to swap out the Sweet and Sour Balls for the Hong Kong style which was great. Only thing preventing 5 stars is £1.80 for literally 8 prawn crackers is far too expensive. I would have expected them to be included free of charge if it was just a sample sized bag!

The issue has been resolved respectively and in a very professional manner, and so I have changed my rating. Errors do occur but its how the restaurant has dealt with the issue that really impressed me. Thank you for excellent service :).
Food was great, really enjoyed the food untill I found this in my lemon chicken. Not an issue for an adult but a child??? Potential choking hazard. Won't be ordering food from here again, shame really as their food isn't too greasy or dry at all.

Ordered twice from No.8 first time was perfect. The food is delicious, not too greasy and an amazing choice on the menu. Unfortunately our second order they made the horrible mistake of sending real chicken satay instead of vegan chicken. Unfortunately a few bites were taken before my partner realised and resulted in vomiting. I’m writing this in hope that they never make that mistake again. They were very apologetic and I would order again.

Food was great - tasty and good portion sizes. Delivery was slow though (took 1hr 15+ to arrive), and there was an item missing from the order (which seems to be a common mistake looking at other reviews). We will try them again, and hopefully get all items next time
