We stopped two nights bed and breakfast and the room was fantastic. We where in the cobbled courtyard as I have difficulty walking so they put us on the ground floor. There was an extra twin room just off the main bedroom which was nice to store our cases and clothes in there to keep the room tidy. As we didn't need the extra beds as there was only two of us. The beds where so comfortable and big. The pillows where like putting your head in the clouds. We used the spa each day and the outside hot tub was lush. We also had afternoon tea one day and this was amazing. The breakfast each morning was something else it was served perfectly and the fruit and other items you could have had was so, so good. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful welcome from Richard - so helpful - we felt like VIPs - with a welcome drink as well.
Lovely pool and spa to relax in after walking.

We have just got back from another amazing stay at Armathwaite.. we came to celebrate my Mum's birthday & a late mother's day.. when we arrived the lady at reception (Fiona) told us we had been upgraded to the Deluxe Lake View room complimentary - wow, what a treat it was beautiful and such a nice suprise!
The food in the Lake View Restaurant was delicious and the staff in there were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and they were all so friendly, the same with breakfast.
Another highlight of our stay, was Mark in the cocktail bar, he was BRILLIANT, a real credit to the hotel, full of energy and everyone in there on the evening said how great he was and how he'd made everyones night, also very knowledgeable about the cocktails and what we may like etc and just felt like a friend by the end of the evening!
