We stopped two nights bed and breakfast and the room was fantastic. We where in the cobbled courtyard as I have difficulty walking so they put us on the ground floor. There was an extra twin room just off the main bedroom which was nice to store our cases and clothes in there to keep the room tidy.
Fantastic location, amazing service and fabulous food.
Wonderful welcome from Richard - so helpful - we felt like VIPs - with a welcome drink as well.
Lovely pool and spa to relax in after walking.

We have several meals in the Brasserie In Armathwaite hall. The chef is top quality. The food & the service deserves 5* all day long. The waiter Adrian Stratulat who serves us regularly is so attentive to your needs. Always pleasant and happy. Always checks everything is ok. We recommend the Brasser

We've spent many an occasion at the hotel and every one has been superb. The staff are so lovely and attentive.
It's a special place that manages to remain timeless and unpretentious.
come to the spa and cocktail bar somewhat regularly, just want to say that the bar man with darkish short blonde hair and glasses is the perfect fit, perfect service and made the experience incredible. he is exactly what you’d want when ordering from a bar.
The intursemt fire strip should be 15ml and should have 3 fire retted hinges.
Toilet did not work properly.
