We ate out every night for a week whilst in Bath and The Circus Restaurant was the most enjoyable in my opinion. A combination of food quality/presentation and service were top notch. The menu is small, but sometimes that's a good thing because what they do is done to a high standard with lovely flavours. Also the serving staff are very good indeed. Highly recommended.

Very good food with a nice presentation of each dish. I went for lunch and had the 3 course meal which was decently priced and well worth it. The service was friendly. I would recommend this place if you are around the area, may need to book in advance to ensure you get a seat.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at The Circus Restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment we walked in, we were transported into a world of wonder and flavor. The standout dish for me was the Beef Curry. It was an explosion of rich, aromatic spices that danced on my palate, leaving me craving for more. The tender, succulent meat combined with the perfectly balanced sauce was a true masterpiece. To cap off this culinary adventure, we indulged in the Creme Brulee, a dessert that was nothing short of divine. The velvety custard was flawlessly complemented by the crisp caramelized top, creating a harmonious symphony of textures and flavors. Our delightful journey was further elevated by the impeccable service provided by Marco. His knowledge of the menu and attentive nature ensured we made the perfect selections. What's more, his engaging conversation added a personal touch to our dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend The Circus Restaurant to anyone seeking a dining experience that transcends the ordinary. The atmosphere exudes a magical charm that enhances the entire meal. The food is nothing short of exceptional, and the service is delivered with a level of care and expertise that sets this establishment apart.

Beautiful food and brilliant service! We got rarebit and haddock fritters to start, and I got a North African filo pastry dish and my partner got the steak for mains. All of it was sublime with a very unique blend of flavours. We finished out the meal with a round of cocktails, the lemon drop was stunning. You won’t regret ordering it! We went on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was lovely, a buzzy little spot in Bath. Definitely book if you’re interested in going.

The circus is a “hidden gem” in the city of Bath. It is really close to the crescent. Circus menu changes seasonally but all of them are made with attention to detail, which i really like. For instance, some simple parts such as grilled lettuce or french fries are made with care. I would highly recommend cured seabass. It is a must order menu. The foods are excellent. The service is excellent. You should visit this place. I would revisit this place whenever I visit Bath.

Lovely place with great food and unique atmosphere. The menu provides opportunities for all people to find something they will like but also make them feel special. Slightly overpriced, but at the end of the day it is worth it.

Found this place on the off chance and I must say some of the nicest food I have eaten. Had a great 2 course menu with wine for £32 each. Absolutely amazing.

Simply amazing!! We were running a little late, called to let them know and they were more than accommodating in keeping our reservation. Start to finish, the staff was welcoming and nice. We sat outside, which was lovely. Good was suburb. One of our best in our travels from Oxford through the Cotswolds to Bath. Emma was super attentive and pleasant. If we lived in Bath or find ourselves back…we would definitely go again. Thank you for a lovely meal!

I highly recommend this restaurant! Every course was incredible and the mussels were the best I’ve ever had! Our waitress was very friendly and recommended some places for breakfast the next morning. We will definitely be returning!

This semi hidden gem in Bath is one of the best restaurants I’ve experienced while in England. It’s definitely deserving of a Michelin star with the quality of food, service and wine selection. Not to mention the deserts we had were amazing. Every dish had very nice quality ingredients and was cool perfectly. The featured wine list was excellently curated with wines that paired very nice with our dinner. Our waitress Emma was very attentive, knowledgeable and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place!

On Saturday, I called a bit before 9pm to check table availability, and was told that around 10pm they would have space. Gave it some 50min and showed at The Circus around 9h50 to check on it. Was told that not only they didn't have any space, the kitchen was going to close in a couple of minutes.
I'll do a mea culpa and say I should have planned ahead and that it was already late when I called. But my expectations as a potential customer were not met and I would have wished I had a more conservative and honest estimation. By the skin of our teeth we found a place open that night, but having cheap McDonalds-esque Indian was not the original plan...
Other than that, place looks nice and the food exciting. Gutted things turned out the way they did.

Located in the architectural marvel of Bath, England, the restaurant is unique in its own right. I took this recommendation from lonely planet. Most interesting is the fact that they change their menu every 15 days. 3 course meal is the best to go. Remember to choose the rib eye steak with a collection of cheese if its on the menu.

Like the old old London Bridge and the Ponte Vecchio it's inhabited, with stores lining each side. It's short, and the better known view is from down stream near the elliptical weir. This particular photo was taken very close to the Waitrose carpark, which has river views. It's a curious juxtapositions of beauty with ugliness. 2. Bath has traditionally been a place of recuperation and convalescence. The waters were supposedly good for gout and various other forms of rheumatism. Presumably this is one reason why George Saintsbury chose to spend his final years in Bath. You can visit his historic home at No 1 Royal Crescent, though it is now mostly focused on the life of the first inhabitant of the home, Henry Sandford . I imagine Saintsbury must have written his famous book on wine while living in Bath. 3. Middle right - line caught pollock, home cured, with a garum sauce. £7.10 from the inventive a
