Highly recommend... ignore any negative comments. The GPT is under new management. The land lady and staff give excellent service. There is plenty of drinks to choose from. The prices are excellent being you are minutes from the city centre. The customers who go in are ever so polite, I saw a previous review about being chavvy. I think they must of gone to a different place. If you want want friendly service and excellent prices then head here. Thank you to all staff at the GPT. We will be in again in the near future x

Was a bit of a shame that the full menu wasn't available when we came to eat. They had a set burger and beer menu because of the world Cup but it wasn't advertised on their website so we didn't know until after we'd arrived. I have to say I was pretty disappointed but the lovely bar maid, the quality of the burgers and a little light entertainment in the way of five guys with their guitars made up for it.

Love this pub/restaurant. Food is really good and menu changes regularly. Decent selection of draught beer/larger/ale/cider and some good bottles. There's a pool table in the back which is usually available however sometimes room booked for events. Staff are great always welcoming even if you too much on your last visit. Seating is more focus on dining than drinking but there are two large sofa areas and several benches outside the front. Toilets could do with a bit of tlc.
