SO TASTY! I went to this place in winter. the Soup was really good. also I felt this place was more local than other places. I ordered starter and main. all the dishes were amazing!

If you are in Bath, pop in to the (lovingly referred to) "The Tav". Great location, and whether you want a drink or a 3 course meal the staff will look after you. A relaxed yet premium experience. Well worth a visit, we Will definitely be back!

We dropped in for drinks while doing a Bath Heritage trail app on Sunday. No problems finding a table. The staff were busy but made time for us. Nice comfy ambience. Overall the food looked great and we're going back another day to sample it

Great pub in the heart of Bath. The wine is expensive but nice!

A very nice Tavern, with great quality traditional food and high level service. We really enjoyed having dinner here and I advise you to stop here when in Bath

if you just walk a bit upper hill from the royal crescents, there is this local jem that families and friends enjoy good food and drinks in groups. Pimm’s wasn’t on the menu but when asked for it they made it. small bites also felt good after walking around the park and botanic garden nearby.

Whatever you’re doing now, stop and visit the Marlborough Tavern to experience the Sticky Toffee Pudding - it’s superb.
I should also add that the staff and service are also great - would happily return next time I’m in the area.

Excellent starters, Margaret and I shared 5 and all were right. My Mum had fish and chips which she really enjoyed. Girls liked their puddings. The cheese plate was huge (half came back in a doggy bag) and good quality but, unfortunately, as in so many places far too cold. Cheese should not be served refrigerated. I wish restaurateurs would get this. Nice Picpoul. Somewhat variable service and rather a dull room. £46 a head.

It’s really a nice place for friends and family joining together. Old wooden desk, nice range of food, open garden. Friendly for dogs. All the bonus points. I miss the chequers used to own by the same group as this one. But I found some great similarities in the food quality and pub feeling. I would recommend the mussels for small portions. The fish and chips comes nice and warm. Book early before you visit. It’s usually fully booked.
