Great love it here food excellent and very friendly and helpful staff..
We ate here on a Wednesday night and it was a great quiet dinner. The restaurant had a good wine and cocktail menu along with a great food menu. The atmosphere was one of the best in Bath from what we have seen. The chef and staff went the extra mile to split our meal. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice night out. Should note that they have a cocktail bar below as well.
Lovely atmosphere, terrific food warm staff - really liked it. Was there during the 'run up' period and the staff were still learning the menu, but they were pleasant and attentive so can't fault them. The bars and private dining rooms upstairs looked very nice indeed – good to have something like that in Bath.
Amazing service and food during a visit to Bath last month. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more and look forward to returning and recommending to everyone I know! Please keep your high standards up as I would gladly come back over and over again!

There were 7 of us on a busy Saturday night.but we were given the perfect balance of attention and service . The food was outstanding. I had to have a taste of everyones. Everyone l their meals from vegetarian to meat dishes and we even had to order a double dessert (chocolate moose with raspberry and popping candy .... We were oohing and aah ING!!) Loved it ... It is must ...

A great place to lunch and dine. Both formal and informal options seem tom be available. they have a great meeting room. The coffee is superb and the team are really friendly. Nice place for a treat.
This is my most favourite place in Bath to eat. The food is remarkably savory & the atmosphere is delightfully intimate.

The Porter was an "Amazing pub community" so I have to agree with Chris there, however I feel that as a building in such a prime location it never really delivered to it's full potential. From what I have read in the papers and seen as I have been walking past on my way to work The "New" Porter will quite simply be a great venue for the people of Bath, who have deserved and been crying out for such a fantastic venue for years and for visitors to enjoy. Such a unique venture is unheard of in this great City of ours and I wish the new owners all the success in the world. It will bring new people into the City, create more much needed jobs and it is part of a local business success story in very tough times. As for being a "Souless Gastro Winebar" I very much doubt that - in the past few days especially whilst peering through the windows it looks like it will be a hub for fun, good times , great memories and help the City to prosper even further over the coming decades. Long live The Porter is what I say - I for one cannot wait to see what it's all about.
Came for afternoon tea at the weekend on a hen weekend. I'm vegan and they made me vegan sandwich and nibbles as well as a pud I felt absolutely spoilt! Service was also excellent.
