Really nice place and friendly staff. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The only criticism is that the English breakfast tea, was extremely weak. After pot number 3 we did not request anymore due to the strength of the tea not improving. In fairness they did try, but tea the consistency of milky water is not pleasant.

Fabulous plate of food, sat outside in the glorious sunshine. Crispy roast potatoes, horseradish sauce came with the meal, beautifully cooked vegetables. Delicious cauliflower cheese at no extra cost as a side dish. Excellent service, what's not to love? One to repeat for sure.

The Mains are good but the Starters are the star of the show here.
Staff are young but eager.
The place is set up as a hip cool cocktail bar, restaurant and it does this very well.

Amazing restaurant, 5 stars across the board from me.
The food was off the chart good, lovely cozy atmosphere and the service was perfect.
Can't recommend this one enough.
It deserves 6 stars. (Plus 1 Michelin) ;)

What a little gem! We found this restaurant quite by chance but we are so pleased we did ! Great service from very attentive staff and delicious food served up in a beautifully dressed restaurant. Well worth a visit !

We used our Discovery Cards which allowed us to sample the Plate Menu with a free bottle of house wine and a discount of 15%. We liked the restaurant decor which was bright and warm as were the staff. The food was excellent and we were treated to complimentary sour dough rolls with a choice of three butters. The toilets were spotless. This was a treat but if you wanted to celebrate a special night I would recomend.

Where can you start? The staff fantastic nothing too.much trouble from changing our booking from the dome to the terrace, as they believed the dome would have temperature of over 50c and would be unhealthy
Food very good,fish and chips, burger a tomato salad and I had the place. Well presented and tasty
After dinner retire to the bar and an excellent barman Joel who knows his gins vodka and cocktails. Good to have a chat with and his memory is brilliant. We came in the second night and the drinks appeared. Truly and asset.
The restaurant is good for breakfasts with many options that you can order so that your breakfast is personalised

From the warm and friendly greeting in reception to the beautiful art displayed in the restaurant, this place will impress you from the moment you step into it. The food is AMAZING - beautifully presented, good sized portions and above all prepared and cooked to perfection. The Plate was the ideal setting for our 5 year anniversary. Excellent service from Chris and the rest of the team. Really lucky to have had the opportunity to visit and will definitely recommend to friends and family.
