Perfect stop for lunch on a visit to Battlesbridge. Lovely staff brought us a perfect glass of wine while we perused the menu. Nice choice of pub type meals. We only had a main course today. I had the minted lamb burger which was very tasty - served with feta and the nicest (hottest) wedges. Finished with the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. Thanks Guys!!

Yesterday we had a tabled booked for 9 people to celebrate my Mum's 50th Birthday. The food was absolutely amazing!! The starters, mains and desserts. Couldn't find fault in a thing. The pub/restaurant it's self is a lovely place and the staff where excellent. Can't recommended enough and can't wait to return!!!

Fantastic food. Staff. Manager Zoe went above and beyond and organised a cake and candles for my friend attending. Lovely staff sang happy birthday to her as well. Absolutely amazing food. Worth every penny

Good honest pub grub, there's something on the menu that everyone would like. There's meat free options as well so everyone can go.
The only thing that is a bit of a pain is parking, there is a large carpark but you'll have to be patient as the area is a popular attraction.
The server's seem to all be happy and have a good knowledge of the menu and are always on hand if you need anything. The food was well cooked and the portion size was fair. We were a party of five and we all left well fed and watered for £222!
Outside there is disabled parking and wheelchair access as well as outside seating and an outside bar.
This is a dog friendly pub and there is always water for your dog outside.
It is advisable to book a table here as it's so popular.
Overall I'll definitely be back.

Real old English pub. These places are perfect for getting a lovely lunch or dinner... Or breakfast. The pub has a classic look. Very cosy inside with lot of exposed wood beams. Food ..fish and chips.. portion side was very generous with the classic UK taste.. not to be missed if you have not tried before. Overall a great experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just went in for a Guinness. Son had scampi and chips and we helped him out! It was lovely! Man with a saxophone was playing in the barn. Had a great time. Auntie Joy had a dance. You got any more events coming up? Please let us know.

Best vegan roast dinner i've had in ages. Will be going back. Great location around the antique shops. Food was good value for money and the staff took our orders pretty quickly.
