The teas are loose leafs. All served in nice pots
My husband had the chocolate pastry cake... amazing... try it if available
You won't regret it
We also bought their home made cape bread to take home. Very very good bread
They make it fresh every day

Hidden gem !
Great fresh food. Had the all day breakfast scrambled eggs! Such great flavors. The service was great. And the hot sauce they gave was just superb. Got a bottle to take home as well.
Had the chocolate brioche and now I’m not any other chick ate brioche other than that one. Haha

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good, only 1 problem, I realise The Cape isn't a bar, but with it's self prclaimed South African roots it should have at least 1 South African beer. But other than that it was an enjoyable meal.

Nice place. Service is a bit slow and breakfast portions a bit small (at least for me!) Given this was their premium breakfast. A hash brown or fried bread would have been good. But nice all the same and reasonably priced.

We had lunch with relatives and we were all really impresses. The food was excellent, service was friendly and efficient. The menu was quite varied with a mix of foods, obviously including African dishes which was a pleasant change for us. The cost seemed quite reasonable so all in all a very pleasant experience. We would definitely go again.

My mum lives just outside London in a place called Beaconsfield, it's a really gorgeous old town and it's filled with little cafes and restaurants which we like to explore when i visit her for a catch-up. One of our favourite places is a South African cafe called The Cape Grand Cafe & Restaurant which serves locally sourced fresh South African cuisine with French and Italian influences. I love coming here for breakfast but they also do some really nice salads for lunch and bigger meals at dinner time. If you're ever local to Beaconsfield make sure you pop in and try the 'Cape Town' breakfast - poached eggs with bacon, rocket and tomatos on seed bread - delicious!
