5 star service from the team at Smiles this evening. I put in an order for 95 portions of fish and chips at 1pm for an evening collection for a last minute function. Not only did the turn it around as promised, they did it on time and the food was piping hot. Fish was the best I’ve eaten in a long time and our clients couldn’t sing the praises of the food enough. Will be back!

This seems to have been taken over by new management now. The food (fish & chips) is very nicely fried and served hot and the servers wear clean aprons and hats. I think there is a massive improvement...well there was when we visited a few days ago.

The portion sizes are massive, I ordered a cheeseburger and chips. The salad was fresh, burger was juicy and the chips were perfect! Definitely will be back!

Update to my old review of Smiles Chip shop, since the restructure of this branch i am please to say things have improved a lot, you now get larger portions than before and the quality of the chips are back to their best, i am very happy with the way this chip shop has improved since it reopened.

Great chips, big portions. Fish is a little oily but still delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Read some reviews of this chip shop saying it was overpriced.
The meal I just had did cost more than I expected but dishing it up at home I realized the portions were quite big so a bit of an error on my part for ordering too much. Next time I'll get it right and that'll bring the price down a bit.
Cod, cheeseburger and chips were all good quality and tasty. The 12 minute wait in the shop because the fish was cooked fresh is perfectly acceptable.
Well done, will definitely use again.
