The Foresters Arms

Very nicely located pub in the middle of the charming village of Beckington. We called in the other day after a long trip and found the service delightful, the food excellent and the ambience warm and welcoming. The locals we were chatting to were obviously very fond of their village pub, and I can understand why. This is the kind of welcoming Inn that we used to find all over the place, but is pretty rare in this era of gastropubs and tarted up accommodation. For something that feels like a modern version of the traditional British pub you could hardly do better. Great food and great ales. I can't recommend specifics since, as they say, the menu changes daily, but it was all good quality and prepared and served with care. A pub to return to again and again.

Went today for a late lunch with my friends our families. We were seated at a very nice table by the Inglenook fire in the bar/restaurant area. The pub is very clean, nicely decorated and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered a variety of meals, all beautifully cooked and the portions were certainly on the generous size. A very nice pub to take the family too without leaving a massive hole in the wallet! The bar boasts a great variety of drinks and the garden at the back I am sure is buzzing in the summer months. If you are looking for a friendly welcome, good pub grub, at a sensible price then I would highly recommend the Foresters! We will be back again very soon!

Had our Family Christmas get together on Sunday. 15 of us came to Beckington from different towns and had various items off the menu and what I had and my daughter it was brilliant. Plated nicely with huge portions and the dessert didn't let the meal down either. Never been to the pub before but I only live in Frome. I will be coming back for the Sunday Roast again. Thank you
