Amazing place to eat! Our first time here and we just though it was going to be just spruced up basic food. But how wrong we were!
The food was absolutely amazingly both in presentation and taste. The decor of the restaurant was very cosy with tables close together and conversations in high mood.
They take last food orders at 9pm, but you can still book your table for that time (as we did), and still have plenty of time to finish 3 courses.
A little gem that we’d highly recommend to anyone passing or visiting the area.
We stopped here for lunch and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The Bistro feels modern yet cosy. The menu has a good selection of items. I ordered the braised beef which came with a lovely mash, carrots and asparagus. The beef was tender, the red wine sauce was flavourful, and overall the dish was comforting and filling. The staff were very nice and the whole atmosphere was on of relaxation.
The food here is amazing! We had Mini Piggy (delicious pork crackling, quail's egg scotch egg), mushroom brushetta and Hebog pate for starters. We loved the starters so much we thought there was no way the mains could compete - but they did. Pink lamb with mini shepherd's pie, sweetcorn fritters with avocado butter, asparagus, carrots and potatoes, and two children's chicken nuggets that were crispy with real chips.
The service was attentive and friendly, and the location is beautiful alongside the river (there is a little bit of street parking, but also a car park up the road from the restaurant, or on the other side of the village).
We thought it was the best meal of our week-long holiday and we'll make the effort to eat here again next time we're in Eryri.
