Glaslyn

Wow just wow! Stopped off for pizza at Glaslyn, Beddgelert. Great service with fantastic choices from the menu. The pizzas arrived steaming hot and were clearly freshly made. You can see your pizzas being made fresh at the counter. They all tasted absolutely amazing and not a morsel left. Can highly recommend this gem of a place either for a sit down or takeaway. Perfect after a day in the mountains. 🍕🍕🍕😋

We drove through this village on the way to Snowdon and just had to stop on the way back. It's a really picturesque place with a lovely walk along the river and back. One of the stations of the Welsh Highland Railway is here too, so if you time it right you may even be able to watch a steam train getting a water top up. The ice cream at this cafe is absolutely delicious and the sausage roll with red onion and spicy cheese is really really tasty. They also serve a range of food options including freshly made pizza, cakes and sandwiches. If you're passing through then I'd highly recommend planning a stop at this place and having a little walk around the village.

First, the ice cream: If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! I've been a serious fan of ice cream for about 40 years, sampling it all over the US, UK and most recently Italy. The strawberry sorbet here rivals Italy, and the ice cream is seriously the best I've ever had. I'm a bit biased because of the amazing flavour they had combining my 2 favourite things-banana and chocolate chip, which you don't see ANYWHERE else. It was glorious 😊 The young man behind the counter (Friday the 8th) was charming and so proud of the shop-a huge credit to this business. I'll be dreaming of Glaslyn ice cream long after leaving Wales 😂 Secondly, the pizzeria: Really delicious pizza in this self-service restaurant with dog friendly seating. The staff were lovely, and you could tell they take great pride in their food. Very fast service!

Lovely find, the food here was delicious!! Would recommend booking as it gets busy, luckily we were quite early and got a table. Dog friendly inside as well. Gluten free / vegetarian / vegan options available. Pizza was fresh and delicious, lovely taste - chips were fantastic, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Nice selection of local beers/ciders as well. Highly recommended.

Best quiche I’ve ever had! My friend had pizza and said it was perfect! I’m not a fan of pizza myself, but I was really pleased with the alternative options available, and so glad I chose the quiche which had the best pastry I’ve ever had, and the filling was delicious. It’s great to see places like this making things from scratch and you can taste the effort! I’ll be returning soon.

Amazing pizzas - so good we came back for lunch the next day! Obviously the ice cream is also delicious and creamy. Beware that the ice cream selection is limited during dinner service, but the flavors they still have are still stunning. The staff is friendly and welcoming. A must stop when in Snowdonia

Ice cream = delicious. Pizza = delicious. Seating area, staff attitude and reception = 5 stars. Highly recommend going here, we had ice cream for a mid day treat and then had pizza for dinner and after seeing the chips had to get a portion of those too. Prices were what you'd expect and there was easy parking nearby. Staff also like you to book ahead, and we did, so they liked us. Downside was also the plus side, that they were out of the Welsh lamb pizza, which clearly means it was a good one! I'll be sure to get it next time.
