Lovely pub just off from the centre of town. Quirky decor. Great beer. Well kept outside area. Very good welcoming service. Clean toilets.
Top place - a proper pub with a decent selection of ales, which were very well-conditioned. Very tasteful interior - featuring lots of old beer clips.
What a great find this was! The location is pretty hidden away but I encourage anyone who loves traditional pubs to hunt it down as you won’t be disappointed. Inside is more like a museum to beers, with an incredible range of old bottles …

Great little proper pub that has thankfully stood the test of time. Not changed since I last visited 20 years ago and that is a highly positive thing. Good prices for great beers. Since returned 3 times in past 2 months. Why did I wait so long???!!! More fool me...

Been there many times with friends. Like to enjoy the real atmosphere of old pub. Cool staff, good service. There’s variety of cask but disappointed for not having any draft. Hope they’ll think about good business for youngs not only for old ones.
If you want a proper pub, in Bedford nothing comes close (Three Cups is the nearest). A temple to ale. As good a pub as will be found anywhere.
