The Embankment

Had the pleasure of staying two nights at the Embankment. We could not have been happier with rooms, service and food. It was the perfect combination of English charm and comfort. The location was perfect and we had a short walk to an amazing park for my eight year old son to play. We looked forward to every drink and meal we were able to have at the pub. I would highly recommend staying here if you are with or without kids.

Visited in May for evening meal. The bar was quite full early evening. Restaurant was about half full. Our servers were Charlotte and Dan and they were both efficient and polite. The starters came out quickly followed by the main course after a short and acceptable break. We found the food to be perfectly cooked, with the steak in particular being, juicy and well seasoned. I will be returning again in a couple of weeks with a much larger group.

Booked a table for a breakfast meeting, the booking process was easy & stress free, upon arrival we were greeted by the waitress who seated us & took our drinks order which was served to us in a very efficient manner, breakfast orders were take , we both had the full English, which arrived in a timely manner & was piping hot , in summary the service was excellent & the food was first class, will definitely be returning, also have to mention the staff were super friendly & helpful.
