Lovely food, drinks and service. Stopped for a meal for 3 of us on a weekday lunch time. Impeccable interior, first class food, drinks and service. Easy and ample car parking. Toilet facilities very clean. Clean and fresh decor. Very warm welcome. Definitely worth stopping for. Will be visiting again when driving through this area.

The chequers is a lovely pub on the road between horton conquest and Ampthil. The place offers sweet, relaxed and friendly service. Drinks are reasonably priced with a good choice. Food is beautifully done and very tasty.

This pub is simply amazing.
Location is superb, the pub is literally in the middle of nowhere. Generous size garden overlooks picture perfect fields. Outdoor children's playground equipped with couple of climbing frames with slides, swings and sandpits. Our 3 years old and her 4 years old friend happily played there for couple of hours.
It offers very good menu together with "today's special" board. We were very happy with our food at Chequers. Kids menu is also available.
Altogether pub is quite clean and nice.
I would definitely recommend it!

This is a very good place to go for any many different occasions. I've even had breakfast here, which was lovely. Ample parking and the beer garden is huge. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Good selection of drinks and the food menu seems to be updated regularly. I've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the food.

The food was reasonably priced, the garden was spacious and had lots to do for children, dog friendly and lots of variety on the menu! The strawberry daquari mousse was delicious!

Nice pub / restaurant that has an old inn exterior and an interior that's clean and reasonably well presented.
The staff were friendly enough and quite helpful. The food was OK - good standard fayre without trying too hard. If you find it on your journey you'll enjoy it, but this isn't a place to go out of your way for.
