went in for lunch a few weeks ago the food is very nice their and the hot drinks are good but i think the place has gone now dont think it been open for nearly five weeks now shame it was a good cafe

Very nice cafe on high street plenty of viewing windows. Very pleasant and helpful staff, aimed to please. Cleaner than most other places, still room for improvement. I had a small double flat white, bit too bitter for me and not hot enough. Scrambled eggs disappointing, brown toast was ok but not as good as Costa. Hopefully they will review their reviews because the location and ambiance is excellent.

A brilliant branch of Coffee Republic with an ideal location on Bedford High Street opposite Natwest Bank, perfect for people-watching. This one also appears to be family-run, and offers exceptional customer service and keep the place looking pristine at all times. On my first visit, I ordered the Mexican tuna panini and a regular cappuccino. The coffee beans that they use are all specially selected from master baristas in Milan, and they create a stronger-tasting coffee by default, which is exactly to my taste. My panini was cooked to perfection (not overcooked or tough as old boots, as has been my experience in other big chains), and they remembered to season all the ingredients within. On my second visit I ordered the brie and bacon panini and boy were they generous with the brie! 😅
They also offer a loyalty scheme, whereby if you buy 9 barista-made beverages (coffee, smoothie, etc) and get the loyalty card stamped each time, the 10th one is free when you present the completed stamp card as proof.
It's high time that we all ditched the soulless, non-tax-paying chain cafes and started supporting the likes of Coffee Republic. Even without the card, they've certainly earned my loyalty! ✅️

First time I've been into Coffee Republic on the High Street in Bedford in ages, as we normally gravitate towards Frescoes, the long-established independent.
However, Coffee Republic are doing a really good job here. Decent tasting coffee and a nice sandwich / panini, a comfortable chair to sit in and quiet on a Monday but with just enough people to stop this big branch feeling barn-like.
Plenty of choice in things for lunch and good service from the team today. I'd use this branch again.

A nice and cosy coffee shop on high street of Bedford. Calm design, friendly staff, and quick service. Varieties of sandwiches, cakes, and pastries are served besides the hot and cold drinks.

Wish there were more of these compared to Costa. They have some really great drinks and flavours and the service is always speedy.
I find when going to Costa you get a huge queue and a lacking menu. These guys have some interesting flavours that I really need to try!
