The Vic was recommended to us by a friend back in the US who studied at Nottingham, and we're so glad he did 1) because the out-of-the-way location meant we never would have found it, and 2) our experience was superb across the board. Wonderful Victorian (appropriately) atmosphere, extensive menu, and a very decent beer selection. Food was excellent (we had the lincolnshire sausages and the paella) and arrived in a flash. The staff were very welcoming, even to us clueless tourists, and there were plenty of dogs in evidence (always a good sign.)

Wow! Been a few times now and have not been let down. Really REALLY good food. Reasonably priced (especially for the quality). £55 for two starters, two mains and two drinks. One thing I will say, which is always a big plus for my girlfriend and I, they are really dog friendly and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. Unfortunately, this is not always the case now days. Will be a regular thing for us from now on. The only negative if I am being super critical is the parking can be a problem.

Absolutely brilliant food amazing, staff spot on, phoned before hand told them I’m disabled and needed to be near a wall to help met sit down and stand up easily and that’s exactly what I got. Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the lovely hospitality we received celebrating my sons 23RD birthday meal.

Loved this...came here for a Morris dance party... Great place & facilities in the covered yard out back. Slightly disappointed that the baguette didn't come with any garnish or crisps but otherwise food here looks great...will definitely be returning

Great traditional pub next to Beeston Station. So glad to have discovered this place. Arrived from London and had a late lunch, revisited again after a long walk in the wetlands a few days later and had breakfast there on our last day before heading back to London! Friendly staff, amazing menus, seems very popular with the locals. Lots of tables reserved.

Visited Saturday 18th March 2023 early evening. Not going to lie, I was a little worse for wear by the time I got here so this review probably won't be the best. The pub itself is pretty big and quiet imposing, after entering the door on the right leads to a small room, essentially the 'bar' side, the door on the left leads to the 'lounge' side which is essentially the restaurant. The bar side was very quiet; however, the restaurant side was packed, it seems to be more of a restaurant than a traditional pub. Having said that, there were plenty of people just having a drink. Beer choice is pretty good with some decent cask alongside keg, lager, spirits, wine, soft drinks etc. Staff were friendly and polite, we didn't eat but the food looked great. We'll be back next time we're in Beeston and we'll probably eat there. Edit: Revisited on Monday 17th July for something to eat, had sausage and mash....it was delicious.
