The best Chinese food we (2 people) have ever had. The restaurant is plain and quite dated, but the food was delicious, the green beans in special sauce, with meat were a revelation! and the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely go back

Brilliant value for money! Only £6.80 and you can get soup/soft drink with a very large portion of rice or noodles (spicy or not you should ask). Anywhere else it might have costed from £25-50. All in all 4 people ate £28 and there was like 50% leftover. Great service.

I used to go to the Lucky Star which is roughly opposite on the same road, as that restaurant used to be excellent. But felt that we would try this Magic Taste House for a change, and we all enjoyed the food. Will go back.

Wonderful food. When picking up I needed to wait an extra five minutes so they gave me a large bottle of coke on the house! Great quality and big portions for the price. Definitely coming here again!

Delicious food at reasonable prices and good portion sizes. The staff are lovely and the restaurant also offers a selection of beers, albeit quite small. But anyways enough of that and let's get onto why you are really here reading this review... The karaoke! The karaoke here is first of all incredibly cheap, instead of charging per person it is just per hour, irrespective of the party size, which means when you split the bill it won't break the bank account. The rooms are clean, well designed with comfortable seats and are relatively sound proof. So you don't need to worry about others hearing you screeching like a cat is being strangled. The karaoke software has American, British, Chinese and Korean artists and it is also possible to download more songs onto the software. So come down today and sing your heart out!
