The Ginger Bistro was recommended to me by a local friend. And I'm very glad we had time to go there. Everything, from the first smile of the waiter to perhaps the tastiest food we've ever had, to the friendly farewell, was perfect. The food, oh my god the food....soooo delicious :) We had little time and only had the main course, but we will definitely come back and this time we won't miss the appetizer or the dessert ☺️ Thank you for a wonderful culinary experience and for doing what you do with love ❀️

5 stars all round. Absolutely the best roast chicken I have ever had 😍 the starter of salmon and crab was absolutely amazing, the main, I think the title speaks for itself. the dessert! was the most delicious chocolate mousse I have ever had. This place is somewhere I have wanted to go for a while, and between the staff being friendly, and giving their honest opinion, I had the most delightful and filling meal in a long time.......oh, and the cocktails are fab too 😍 (Ps sorry for the empty plates, lifting my phone and photographing the delivery was the last thing on my kind 🀀🀀🀀🀀🀀)

Awesome music. Just did a CA walk-in and OMG!!! Host sat us instantly. Luke was buried with people but was 5 stars. Had warm chicken salad. Feather blade beef…. To die for. PS. GET A SPOON TO ENJOY THIS MEAL. Now waiting on dessert at this point cannot fail.

My friend and I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and I'm so glad we did! The food was outstanding - every dish we tried was delicious and cooked to perfection. I'd say it's some of the best food I've had in a long time! πŸ‘ŒπŸ΄ But what really made our experience so memorable was the staff. They were not only friendly and welcoming, but they also went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. They had us in stitches with their funny jokes throughout our meal. They even remembered us the second time we came back (yes, we loved it so much that we went back the next day!) and made us feel like regulars. πŸ€— Overall, this restaurant is top notch! From the amazing, delicious food to the friendly and funny staff, we couldn't have asked for more. If you're in the area, make sure you give this place a try - you won't be disappointed! πŸ˜‰

Went with a friend for our annual Christmas Dinner a few days before Christmas. Seated on a nice table in the corner. The service was excellent and our waiter was very witty. Had a delicious Smoked Salmon Salad with Wheaten Bread at the start followed by Chicken in Parma Ham with Cheesy Mash. Polished off a very light Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ice Cream to finish. At the end of dinner, they seated us outfront to enjoy a post dinner gin. The food was brilliant and the vibe great. Still one of the best restaurants in Belfast.

The food is ridiculously good! Worked us in without a reservation and they did not disappoint. A fun energetic atmosphere. We had starters and main - fried prawns and a pear/blue cheese/watercress salad. Both had the sea bass fillet with cannellini beans and potatoes dijonnaise. The fish was seared crispy skin side and moist. The sauce the beans and broccoli was buttery and savory. The potatoes were cooked in what tasted like a bechamel sauce. Even my finicky wife cleaned her plate and couldn’t stop talking about how good it was!

We ate here recently and knew it was going to be an experience the second we arrived. The staff were fabulous and full of banter. The food was amazing, we all loved every last bite of the different dishes and their cocktails were so tasty. Would absolutely recommend and go back here again!

I've never enjoyed a night out like this before, waiting staff were lovely and loud and made you feel like and old friend, food was the Highest quality, such well plated meals made by truly inspired chefs. The cocktails were very enjoyable too I only had the 6. For 3 beautiful courses it was only 40 pounds a person plus drinks truly a steal for ginger's quality

The ambience is very classy.

The servers are very friendly and helpful.

The food, it is out of this world.

I love this placeΒ for everything it has to offer.

It is usually crowded on weekends so make sure you have a reservation.

Must visit, if you're in Belfast.

When we went, this restaurant was very busy, to the point that it felt like they were slightly understaffed. This didn't show in the service, however. In addition to our great server, multiple staff checked up with us for the duration of our meal.

The food was terrific. One of the appetizers we chose was the calamari, which honestly was the best fried squid I ever had. My main dish, which was the Hake on a bed of vegetables served with noodles, was stupendous. The Asian flavour of the noodles complimented the more traditional preparation of the fish incredibly well, which took me by surprise.

Despite the impressive food being served, the ambiance is definitely easy-going and casual.

Wow, what a let down. After reading good reviews, we were looking forward to dining here. Sadly, it was a pretty poor experience.

It started with a weird appy. My ginger beef salad was actually very sour (waaaay too much lemon), American-style ginger beef with little salad involved. My girlfriend had the mussels, and while there was a lot of them and the presentation was nice, they had virtually no flavour.

Next, our entrees. After my gal immediately found a HUGE hair in her noodles, it pretty much killed our appetites. They apologized and re-made her dish, but did nothing else. No adjustment to the bill or offer of any compensation. My duck was decent, but again, nothing extraordinary, as one might expect from a Michelin-rated restaurant.

Our desserts were also decidedly average. My creme brΓ»lΓ©e was okay, and we can't even remember what she had, it was so dull.

The decor seemed very cheap. It appears they feel a quick coat of paint over old joints, exposed cracks, and weird, eclectic art and vintage pots is their idea of high-end design.

The service was quick and friendly, but given the misstep with my girlfriend's dinner, you would think they would have done something about it.

After paying a not-so-cheap bill, as we expected in a place with this hype, we vowed never to return again.

My recommendation: skip it. The Crown Liquor Saloon has better food, and it's only simple pub grub in a way cooler atmosphere, for a helluva lot less money.

Always excellent food and frequently changing menu. Warm staff, good service, great drinks list. Definitely one to try in Belfast.
