A warm, welcoming and amazing little cafe in Belfast. I have been to Maggie Mays an uncountable times. It has never disappointed me in terms of food and service. They offer amazing breakfasts and are very flexible in swapping a pancake for an extra sausage, you know what I mean. Even the other dishes like Lasagne, Chicken and Mushroom Pot Pie, Burgers, Taco Chips and Cheesy Bolognese Chips are decent.
Moreover, the milk shakes are an add on, where they can do better but they don’t.
Overall, I would recommend this place to any third person for a bite as it offers good quality food and service and is inexpensive.
Amazing breakfast.. you can say your trip is complete until u have breakfast here.... wide variety .. for veggies as well... loved it... i was in hangover n trust me it will go after this place..
I liked Maggie May’s. It had a rough and ready informal atmosphere, and to have a bill for just over £16 for three people was excellent. The menu afforded a very good vegetarian choice, although unfortunately half of the items were not available when we visited. The café is set out in alcoves, which is something I welcome – making conversation audible but reasonably private. Staff were friendly and service was reasonably prompt.
The café is not licensed, but a general store a few doors along provides a very good selection of alcoholic drinks, and Maggie May charges £1.50 for corkage – per bottle or for 4 cans of beer.
Customers should be alerted to the fact that credit cards are not accepted, and payment is by cash only – at least when we visited.
Took a trip in summer season with family & friends to Belfast. We are a group of foodie and wanted to have some authentic Irish food -so while taking a street walk ; happened to find Maggie Mays. Its was amazing experience. The food is awesome - comes with limited variety but take my words ; the foodie in you would love & relish the authentic Irish flavor of veg. / non-veg. dish. Best prefer for Breakfast / Brunch or even late evening snacks. Jacket Potato is delicious with half boiled veggies and fries - it is all-time starter or sides and can go along with any combos! Overall it is fabulous and would want to visit again in next trip :)
Absolutely brilliant place. Food is outstanding and so many choices. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Went back twice and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Belfast.
The milkshakes were amazing, i had a banana one and my partner had the Kinder Kraze milkshake. Both were very lovely and not too expensive or sickly either. I also had the biscoff pancake arrangement and my partner had the regular pancake stack both were very lovely and i highly recommend. Lovely little place with cool decor and the staff were very nice and attentive and provided fast service. Highly recommend for brunch or breakfast.
Good wholesome home-style faire at this hugely popular Belfast establishment. Very attentive staff. Varied menu. Outside covered seating excellent for people watching and provides shelter from our notoriously unpredictable weather.
Was pretty nice. Had a steak sandwich which was good. Had garlic chips which were good but quite a lot of smaller crispier chips. Overall id recommend eating here.
We came here because of the queues outside and we were not disappointed.
The service was friendly and quick. Seated in no time at all. Such a big menu and nice to be in a proper cafe food place. We were greedy and ordered the mushrooms and the cheesy garlic soda bread to start with and then a beef and a chicken burger. I had the mushrooms and chicken burger. It’s been ages since I’ve eaten breaded mushrooms and these were excellent. Hot. Crunchy and juicy. Great garlic Mayo too.
The chicken burger was unusual because it was battered and not breaded. I loved this.
They didn’t last very long at all. Washed down with a bananas milkshake that reminded us of being kids again!
Nice little joint. Great breakfast, gluten-free options. Very modestly priced. Free wifi. Solid americano coffee option.
We were shown to a seat straight away and were served quickly. Food was great and portion sizes are big but with reasonable prices.
Cosy and busy cafe. Good service. The family enjoyed a cowboy supper, lasagne, vegetarian fry up, burger and cheesy Bolognese chips. The girls loved their milkshakes. Would come again.
Place is small but absolutely buzzing. Food was great servers were lovely, only downside was it took almost 30 minutes for food to arrive. Definitely recommend!!
Nice food.
Vegetarian options manageable but not the venues biggest selling point. Nothing identified on the menu.
Fair time to wait both for seating and for orders to be taken. This visit was a Sunday morning so lots of deliveries on front of our order.
Nice outside eating and managed to escape the showers.
Coffee okay but not exciting nor could I find hot and or cold drinks on the menu.
But would come again but would try and avoid busy times
