The Birdham At Bembridge

Went here for dinner and despite being put in a very gloomy room in the back of the dining area, the food that arrived didn’t disappoint. Had mussels in creamy white sauce (it’s a starter and asked it be my main) with fries and truffle sauce. Whilst my partner got sausage and mash. We both had crispy pork as our starter. All dishes were fantastic, good quality and tasted great! The ambiance can look like it needs a bit of a modernisation however the quality of the food served to us made the most impact.

We organised a walking group trip to Bembridge in May. Most stayed at the Birdham and all were very happy with the rooms and service. We had a dinner for 23 people there and everything was superb! The food and service was really exceptional. The hotel went out of their way to accommodate all our wishes. A wonderful hotel!

What can I say, well nothing negative. 4 of us went for a meal here for my sisters birthday. The food was amazing. Anthony was amazing as were the rest of the team, but our main server was Anthony. The 4 of us like to have a laugh and Anthony got our sense of humour, but stayed professional. Will definitely recommend this restaurant. When we had our desserts Anthony brought out a slate with a Chocolate Brownie on and Happy Birthday written in white Chocolate on the slate, which was a total surprise to us. So thank you Anthony and the rest of the team right down to the chef for making our evening very special.

Stayed here recently for a friends wedding and have to say it was one of the nicest places we have stayed at with a four year old. The family room is lovely and open and a great selection of local teas/coffee and kids will love the walk up bunk bed. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and made it feel like home away from home. Breakfast is a must as there is a wide variety and will defiantly recommend the cooked breakfast. I have been told the chef is a perfectionist and it shows.

Wonderful service from Anthony and his team despite our large group's complex orders. They were flexible, gave us time to enjoy our meal and to relax afterwards. Nothing was a problem for the team and the food was delicious, with generous portions! Thank you to everyone for making our evening so pleasant!
