I pretty much can't stand Facebook. And never go out of my way to leave reviews. But for this place I'll make an exception. Been coming here for a while now and have had nothing but friendly service, great food and even more importantly for me personally ... Good coffee. My wife showed me a few reviews on an unrelated website with complaints about late openings or early finishes etc and I was appalled ... This is a "local" and "family" run business which surely means once in a blue moon there may be a change in schedule?.... If people don't understand this then what's the point in having local businesses??? May aswell just open another corporate Costa serving rubbish coffee? Get rid of the independent clothes shop next door and open up a Dorothy Perkins ?!? This place serves amazing food, even better coffee and welcomes families more than any commercial chain you'd find on a typical high Street!

Went to Peggy's today with a group of friends one with a toddler, it was fabulous really child friendly. The food was lovely freshly Cooked big portions and really reasonably priced the milkshakes were amazing!Best of all was the service all the girls very helpful even giving us advice on where to park. We weren't rushed and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend Peggy's to my friends the drive from Chelmsford was worth it! Well done girls! X

Very reasonable priced and friendly cafe. We had the vegetarian breakfast and the mozzarella and pesto panini and both were amazing! The chef and waitress were friendly and the service was fast, would definitely recommend, 10/10!

By far the best breakfast, defo not greasy joes! Im here every year while car gets MOTd next door. Staff ever so friendly. Food is hot and very tasty. Will be back next year .

Fresh Doorstop Chicken Mayo sandwich with side salad, tortillas and coleslaw. Lovely food, friendly staff. Next time will have to try one if the special milkshakes they do, look amazing! Will definitely recommend 👌

Stopped by this afternoon with a group of 6 (3 children - mine was the little boy who shouted merry christmas at the end 😅). I had "The Gutbuster Breakfast" so a bit of everything! Everything was cooked perfectly, good quality food. Kids loved their milkshakes too. Thanks very much, would highly recommend and would definitely return 👍

Peggy’s catered for a family funeral today. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Food was delicious, especially the Victoria sandwich cake which everyone loved. They also provided boxes for vegan and gluten intolerant guests. All this and at a very reasonable price. Thank you so much.
