Having a child with autism, a weekend away, can sometimes be a challenge, but the facilities here made it perfect. We booked an en-suite wigwam (Lone Ranger) and so had a small kitchen and bathroom, which was perfect.
The huts themselves are beautiful, and the fairy lights we had just really added to the magic of the stay. Electric is metered, we put in £3, which was too much, but we had a number of devices to charge, so erred on the side of caution.
It was pretty quiet with the windows shut, but as the huts do warm up quickly, we ended up with all windows open, so we could hear other guests, who were a large group celebrating a birthday, but come 10pm, the site was silent.
You can hire a BBQ pit (we didn't as my son wouldn't have eaten it), and all you need is provided, bar the food.
Highly recommend. It was an effortless, relaxing weekend away. We hired fold away chairs and bedding. Everything was immaculate.
Love this place! Great pod accommodation, lovely spot close to beaches, walks, bike rides.. Cafe is handy for breakfast, kitchen is there if you want to self cater, it's both peaceful and invigorating. Can't recommend it enough.
This place is amazing, we love it here. As a large group, we have been for a number of years running, and we are always made welcome. The staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
Thanks once again for a great weekend, until next year.
Excellent
Just returned from two night stay in a really cosy standard wigwam and also had lovely breakfast in the restaurant.
Lovely clean, dog friendly site and really friendly staff. Will be back.
Only negative was other dog owners letting their dogs run free off their leads to do their business next to other people's wigwams...and then not cleaning it up.
Just came home from a fantastic two night stay, pod and amenities were spotless, granddaughters had a great time playing in front of the pod making new friends, they were gutted to leave they enjoyed the fire pit toasting marshmallows, loads to do in the surrounding areas cant wait to go back again
Spent 3 nights here with family (2 adults, 2 kids) and friends (with their kids) and had a blast!
Plenty of things to do nearby (quiet beach and rock pools, 20min walk -found a starfish and big crab on the seashore!), Berwick, Haggerston Castle Reptile/Bird of prey, Lindisfarne or just hang out at the site (café, pottery painting, park and pedal cars).
Hired a BBQ hut, which was fully equipped and perfect for our group BBQs, and shelter from the rain.
Our wigwam was ensuite, and had a few extra amenities which I hadn't realised (microwave, crockery, running water, fairy lights) and it was warm enough too. The £1 coin electric card was a bit unexpected - we went through one card per day.
Staff were helpful and friendly and gave us the space and privacy we wanted.
The kids enjoyed the space and freedom.
The site was easy to find, reasonably priced, 5mins to the nearest Asda, close to Berwick leisure centre, and there are plenty of local takeaways which deliver to the site too.
Top tip: On the last day (check out at 10) enjoy breakfast in the café - which was spot on 😋
Amazing place, great location. Lovely staff. All facilities are nice and clean 👌 dogs friendly 🐕perfect, we had a great time 💓
Charming and scenic glamping site, a 10 minute walk away from the stunning cocklawburn beach, with great facilities including a lovely cafe and pottery painting studio. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Stayed here for the bank holiday weekend with my fiancee, was a lovely little pod in a beautiful location!
We will be returning again! I would recommend upgrading to the pod with onsuite as walking to the loo in the night isn't fun lol
Fantastic place for Sunday lunch. Had a true home made roast dinner with all the trimmings followed by cheesecake. Best meal I have had in a long long time. Will be a regular place for me from now on. Staff so friendly and lovely restaurant.
