Thank you Rolando Sophie and Rachel for a wonderful meal on our special celebration evening. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff gorgeous food, what more could we ask for!
We went for a 40th birthday party. The good was fabulous with lots to choose from. We were made very welcome by the proprietor and nothing was too much trouble. I would heartily recommend this venue for a small intimate private party .
Lovely little cafe on the corner opposite Wednesday market in Beverley. The range of ice creams looked amazing. Lots of homemade cakes too and I'd highly recommend the scones. I tried the plum and ginger one, amazing (no awful bicarbonate of soda after taste). Also the bacon sandwiches were very tasty and they could accommodate a gluten free diet. Coffee was good too. Definitely worth a visit if you can find a table.
I had a great lunch at this place, they make delicious sandwiches. I had a four cheese toastie it was really tasty, i loved it! I tried the gelato after really good! The shop is a bit tiny but looks nice!
We just have ice cream and coffee. Good taste with reasonable price. Good service 👍
No queue when we visited on a Friday but it gets very busy on a Saturday.
Ice cream and sorbet were very nice and generous but they are quite expensive.
The cherry sorbet was the best!
Went here for lunch and it didn't disappoint. I had a 4 cheese toastie which was the most delicious toastie I've ever eaten followed by a small tub of chocolate and salted caramel gelato which was also nice. Prices were pretty reasonable and service was also good.
Gorgeous ice cream, hand baked goods and coffee. Tonnes of seasonal produce, rotating menu and hand made ice cream - one of my favourite places to go. Central location, perfect to pop in for a bite to eat or grab a coffee on the go. Beautiful seating area and friendly staff. Veggie, Vegan, Dairy free and Gluten free options always available - cake, ice cream and sandwiches/pizzas etc
A lovely cafe easily missed. The coffee is very good indeed. My grandson, aged four had chocolate brownie and absolutely loved it. I had the Nutella biscuit which was large, crispy and frankly very yummy. My daughter chose tea but left it to brew for a few minutes and it was fine. We all thoroughly enjoyed what we had and it was very good value. It is a popular and pleasing little café which is well worth a visit. I also noted a gentleman in a wheel chair was able to fairly easily access a table and was made welcome. So top marks for this little gem!
I had only recently tried the ice cream. It is superb and the best locally. It is home-made and extremely tasty and there is a good choice. I really must recommend the wild cherry: tangy, deep flavoured, colourful - just brilliant. My daughter tried gingerbread and gave it the thumbs up too!
I notice the menu more carefully on this visit. The breakfast and lunch options are very varied, competitively priced and I look forward to giving them a try. I notice that there are changing facilities in the clean, tidy toilet which will be of interest to families with babies.
Do visit this café. It offers a wide range of interesting and largely Italian dishes and the service is always cheerful and efficient.
Gelato
In previous reviews I have covered cakes, bread, scones, biscuits, coffees and smoothies. There is certainly a good choice of tasty home-made food and drinks, competitively priced. Service is friendly, quick and efficient and WIFI is available. Poma however is perhaps best known for its gelato which comes in delicious flavours and attractive colours. I think it is the best you will get in Beverley. You can buy ice-cream cones, house sundaes and milk shakes. I tried the latter for £3.60. You choose your gelato flavours and two scoops are blended into a delicious bespoke gelato shake. You can top this with whipped cream and a flake for 0.40p extra. I can thoroughly recommend this and particularly on a hot day or after a long shop.
Poma
We live near Poma in Wednesday Market Beverley, we often see a queue outside this shop so we thought we would pop in to try their coffee and ice cream. Well they certainly did not disappoint. The girls who work in the shop were lovely, very polite and pleasant. Both were great, the Gelato ice cream was delicious and very creamy, we will defiantly be back! The breakfast and lunch options are very varied, competitively priced and we are looking forward to trying them out soon! Changing facilities available in the clean, tidy toilet which will be of interest to families with babies.

We love Salted Caramel, Rum and Raisin, Bramley Apple & Blackberry. Also try a Brownie served with Vanilla Gelato yum yum...
Ps. Our photo was taken very early in the morning that's the only reason nobody is outside.
Great choice of ice creams, with your regular flavours but then it gets interesting with an array of flavours that will have you thinking that sound lovely and ooh that one does too, which to choose and they change them regularly, often having different flavours from one day to another. As well as having a few vegan options.
Coffee, tea, gelato shakes and soft drinks are available, there is a range of savoury bites including antipasti plate, toaties, pizza, burgers as well as a good range of tray bakes and pastries.
A few vegan menu choices, the aubergine and artichoke sandwich was even more tasty than we imagined it would be!
