We came here for the fixed price three course menu, and absolutely loved it. It was 17:15 on a Friday during the school holidays (to give you an idea of how busy it was). The service was great, the food was great, the fixed price menu didn't have a huge amount to pick from, but then it was fixed price...I have read several of these low star reviews and can't see where it's coming from. Our experience, and what we could see of others, was all good. The lady who served us was friendly and attentive. Our starters, mains and desserts came out in good time. It was all super delicious. The toilets at this place are also incredible. Just like the ones in York...they're amazing. Lovely and clean with functioning doors that actually lock, a door from the floor to the ceiling, a proper flush and plenty of loo roll. We absolutely will be going back again. I highly recommend going here to anyone who enjoys delicious steak! The only thing I would say is that it can get very expensive very quickly, even with the fixed priced menu it was over £80 for us two!!!

Marvelous food enjoyed by all. regrettably was poor service and puddings arrived at different times. English law clearly states young adults are allowed a alcoholic beverage with meal and was refused this

A birthday meal for yours truly, booked in advance by the good lady. Upon arrival we were greeted by the front of house host who showed us right to a reserved table and accommodated the missus with her allergies with a full allergy portfolio, making her choices easy and most importantly safe. The drinks order were taking swiftly, myself opting for a Long Island ice tea and the other half getting a cosmopolitan. These were lovely! For starters we ordered Duck Pancakes and Crispy Squid. Both presented excellently and packed full of flavour. For mains, a Wagyu burger and a Porterhouse stake with sides hit the spot and filled a hole to say the least. Perfect portion sizes and amazing flavour profiles. Not to mention, the steak was cooked to perfection and complemented with a Stilton and bacon sauce. We didn’t opt for desert, as there’s a massive birthday cake sat at home ready to be devoured but the desert menu looked great. Only downside- we were asked if we wanted another round of drinks, and then immediately brought the bill with no drinks at all.. odd. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Will be back.

I have eaten here a few times and always enjoyed it. We had a breakfast on a Saturday as a walk in, I had heard great things about it and I was not disappointed, the large breakfast was tasty with great produce and well cooked by the kitchen. Coffee was good, my partner had eggs Benedict which looked really good and tasted it as well. Then on to a Monday evening we went for my partner's birthday. Booked online easily and even allowed me to amend the booking when I needed to. I ordered the Bao buns. Simply one of the nicest things I have eaten in a very long time. Well cooked duck and pork, hoi sin in the duck did not over power it, the pork sticky and crunchy. There was a lovely layered flavour with a nice heat to it. I could have eaten so many of these they are beautiful. My partner ordered the chicken parmesan and I had a steak for main. Both were really good, my steak slightly under for me however I still ate it and it was tasty and well seasoned. The chicken is a fantastic alternative to a steak, really well cooked and a nice size as well. All the sides are tasty and again the right size. Pudding well my partner loved it, the bombe, the theatre of pouring warm sauce over it to melt the chocolate dome. It looked great, she was worried about it being sickly, but because you put the caramel sauce on, it was not. My only downsides was there was not a lot of staff on the floor, and our waiter looked run of their feet, as it was a fairy busy service, also I had the Corona beer on draught, both pints went flat quickly but still tasted great so not sure why they went flat. Overall a great place and good service with great produce well delivered. A place I recommend to anybody. We will be back

Food is below average for the price very expensive as you have to pay for every item separately, salad chips sauces etc. So a £20 steak meal ends up £35-40.. Definitely had lot better for half the price. Staff are fabulous and very proactive.

So this was our second visit here. Our first was in August for our Wedding Anniversary, we both agreed it was THE BEST meal we've ever had out & we do dine at nice, Michelin star restaurants! So we booked again, today, for my Husband's Birthday, as he'd heard the Sunday Roasts are to die for! That they are! Again, the best we've ever had out! However.... we were rather stunned at the Waiter that lost his cool about another tables order! It seemed when he asked the table behind us - nachos? They must have said no! We're guessing! he stormed to the screen behind us, not sure exactly if he dropped the crockery, threw them or slammed them down, he effed & blinded & stormed down the corridor where the toilets are, raging. Followed by we assume his Senior in a red shirt. We were rather bewildered by such unprofessional behaviour we must say. How he wasn't sent off shift I'm not sure. So to be charged a £10 "service charge" we thought was rather a cheek! However, it is 'optional' I know, it was just all a bit awkward after this & not the poor young lads fault who had served us. Other than the Charade it'd have been the perfect family birthday lunch out.

We had a mixed feelings about the place. The restorant was nice, the staff friendly. Service was a bit chaotic from the start to the end. My and our daughters starterts came , but husbands were missed , it arrived when we finished ours. Then may main was missing slalad, after i asked for it , i was given different one. Same with cutlery, food was placed on the table but no cutlery. Food itself. My family had stakes and they were very happy with their meal. I had chkn, well it was very boring, sad meal 🤷🏼‍♀️ I wouldn't come back. One time experience more than enough. I understand its a steak house, but something nice to eat orher than stake would be fantastic, as I don't eat steak, but my family does. Proper grilled food for example would be fantastic. I would think the service should be smooth for the price you pay.

Had a steak platter to share, and it was amazing. Definitely going back. Only knocked a star off for watered down coke, and a Baileys creme brulee that had no Baileys but Ammereto, and we weren't told when ordering it. Otherwise, a lovely evening and great food.

Really enjoyed our lunch here after the cinema. We shared a couple of starters and some chips, and it was delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Service was really good tonight, Garlic bread starter was really good, Wagu burger was outstanding. And my desert as per my photo was amazing. Music was a little boomy for a restaurant, other than that was nearly perfect. Definitely come back again.
