Really good fish and chips, I went for the Haddock which was so big it wouldn't even fit in the box. Great mushy peas and curry sauce.
Everything seemed to be cooked to order and was piping hot.
There is a sit down restaurant but we got a takeaway to sit by the river.

On a brief visit to this beautiful place, we stumbled across Merchants Fish Bar. All we can say is you MUST call in and have something to eat there👌.
Its very clean and plenty of space for you to eat in or take out.
The staff are extremely friendly and more than helpful and accommodating.
We had fish and chips, the fish was amazingly light, tasty and very LARGE. The battered chips were out of this world. It sounds crazy, but having never heard of them before, let alone tried them and battered mushrooms (yummy 😋) I never leave chips, but they beat me unfortunately, however, the staff offered a takeout box if we wanted to take our remaining meals home.
The food was hot, nothing greasy and worth every penny spent, albeit NOT expensive at all and GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY and highly recommended!😍😊.

Food is decent but slightly pricey for what it is. Wait times can be very long during peak times. Staff were really friendly. Lovely to eat down by the river. Would eat there again though.

Amazing gluten free fish and chips as usual. Shout out to Dylan who came up with the idea of putting customer initials on the take away bags makes it so much easier to know when your order is ready.

This is something I have wanted to say for quite a few and even a lot more years than you think! Merchant Fish and Chips, By the River, in Bewdley! No one will complain about your fish and chips and anything else you sell, including pies, sausages, roe and your curry sauce is legendary, because it's just Par Excellence! It's the greatest fish and chip shop in Bewdley! The staff, get it right every time. I cannot say it's inexpensive but it's still worth every penny! Fabulous Everytime. You are just the best in Worcestershire, and I should know! Went to School in Bewdley, from Far Forest, but got my meals from there when I was a younger man. Still the Greatest and always will be😍.
