Got there and easy to park,we were welcomed with smiles and happy faces. Menue not large but plenty to choose from . Sea food risotto was lovely but a very small portion .partner had finished it and we were still only 1/4 of the way through out steak sandwich and t bone pork .food was tasty . Atmosphere was lovely until foul mouthed men in corner started swearing constantly with no thought for childrens ears . Great pub plenty of seating just on this occasion spoilt by a couple of customers .wedone to the chef and bar staff .
Service was great! Local beers were available and the food was amazing! 🤤
Nice pub with dog-friendly seating and both indoor and outdoor eating areas. Sunday lunch was good, very tasty, but not always as advertised! For instance, parsnips (which we all love) were mentioned as part of the Sunday roast, yet only a roasted carrot appeared. Also, the two little ramekins of 'seasonal veg', although a nice selection, were not really enough for five adults. However, we asked for another and this was supplied without any quibble. The chicken was tasty, and a generous portion, but a little dry, and the beef had quite a lot of gristle to avoid, although again, there was plenty of meat and it was good. We were too full to try any desserts! The staff were friendly and helpful, but we're a bit embarrassed by the above shortcomings from the kitchen. See additional comments about vegetarian option.
We visited last Saturday evening to catch up with some friends. The service was friendly and efficient and can highly recommend the food- found the portion sizes to be just right and the wine is very well priced. More than happy to recommend The Hop Pole for a meal if you are looking for somewhere in Bewdley.
Quite a strange experience 🤔 Upon entering, we felt we had interrupted a private party. There were people sitting around a log burner , children fighting, like being at home! We ordered, and after a while, we're told there weren't enough chips, so we had to alter the type of chip. The service was extremely slow, and the waitress kept trying to encourage us to order more drinks. I ordered a dish off a verbal special menu without knowing the price and was amazed the amount charged for basic veg with a shortcrust pastry. It was tasty, though.

Lovely place with loads of outside seating (just need the weather now!) Staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Unfortunately the wait for our meal was very long. Sweetcorn fritters were good & the spiced cauliflower soup was tasty but so thick it was more of a puree.
My hot & sour chicken curry was delicious and plenty of it. Shame the poppadom was burnt in the middle(microwaved?) We expected the 'daily pie' to be homemade but looked bought in which was disappointing and, for the price of the meal it would have been nice to have more than just peas as veg.
Good varied menu, including some nice vegan options. The food was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very quiet, but we did go midweek. We didn't need to book, but it may be busier at the weekend.
We were a party of six who had super experience yesterday at the Hop Pole Bewdley yesterday. The menu catered for all our groups needs dietary needs. The food was beautiful presented, arrived at the table piping hot and all the meals were cooked to perfection tasting absolutely delicious. The waitresses and bar staff were so warm and friendly we will definitely be revisiting in the near future. Thank you all at the Hop Pole Bewdley.
This pub is fantastic, the staff were excellent and food delicious. Good range of ales etc. Very well set up for covid. So pleased to have going you, albeit accidentally!! Really pleasant atmosphere and nice decor too.
Popped in on our way home from a drive out … wasn’t sure about it as was owned by marstons which normally means reheated or microwaved food…. However we were pleasantly surprised the chef was amazing I had a starter of homemade tomato and red pepper soup and the Mrs had Camembert and both was amazing … onto the main course I had the homemade steak and ale pie the steak chunks melted in your mouth and the puff pastry was great .. my partner had pan fried chicken breast in a Spicey sauce which was also very nice … all in all was a very nice meal and would go back again even bought the chef a pint as his soup was on point .
Enjoyed a delicious vegetarian friendly lunch. Lots of food and drink choices, including soft drinks. Freshly made and beautifully presented food. Great service, would highly recommend!
Popped in off the cuff for Lunch on a Monday, ordered the Pie, was absolutely delicious, puff pastry was delicious and the gravy, mash, veg and meat all delicious, nice twist to a pie, 100% recommended
Haven't had the oppertunity to try the food yet but the decor and atmosphere is very good. Good selection of beers and are reasonably priced.
We had a meal here after visiting West Midlands Safari, all of our food was really good, very reasonable price.
My son and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday Roast here.
