I rarely write reviews, except when I come across exceptional restaurants where food is being served with passion. This was one of those places. Very welcoming owner, knows what he is doing (authentic!) and very thoughtful with kids. Hospitality at its finest. Food was great (true Napoli style pizza, using fresh ingredients) and the small restaurants (it seats 10 only) is lovely decorated. You just feel very welcomed. Great find which I can happily recommend to anyone.

We were looking for somewhere to eat in Bideford, when we stumbled upon the Italian kitchen. We were kindly welcomed in by the owner/ chef, who gave us great recommendations on food and drinks, lovely conversation and delicious food at a reasonable price.

Such a lovely find, we were visiting family near Bideford when we came across this wonderful little restaurant on Google. We messaged online and were accommodated that evening, the pre-ordering system all makes sense when you arrive and one brilliant man is running the entire operation. The food was absolutely fantastic, so fresh and authentic. The gentleman running the restaurant was also truly lovely. We would definitely return next time we visit Bideford! Great little restaurant 4 of us popped in and they were very helpful explained normal to book online as all food made to order, we were lucky he was able to accommodate us straight away, very tasty food and dessert with a bottle of red. Thank you for fitting us in.

Had an incredible time here. The food was possibly the best we have ever eaten and was obviously made with a heart for genuine, authentic cooking with the best Italian ingredients. Had a wonderful evening and felt like we had a private chef the service was so good! Amazing prices too, would have happily paid more. Couldn’t recommend more.

The Italian kitchen has been the go-to place for authentic Italian food since it opened around 8 yrs ago. I remember being served real Italian ice cream with a limoncello on our first visit which has proved to be a memorable experience! The service is perfect and the open kitchen allows the delicious smells of the freshly made pizza to waft across the restaurant - delicious! A great place to go for a social, a celebration, an intimate meal or a catchup after work. I cant fault it! Highly recommend!

Been here plenty of times, and still come back for that god level pizza. I would rate this a ten stars, if I could. The staff is very polite, and the Italian chef is always there to have a chat. He is a pizza master and will always make sure it’s to your satisfaction. It has air conditioning and heating. The atmosphere and decor made in an old, cosy style with gentle music. Better pizza than in Italy. Prices so worth it, impossible to regret.
