After seeing signs for a cafe posted around the beach we thought we would give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and thoughtfulness which went in to what could have been a very basic dish. Needless to say...it was maybe the best frittata I've ever had and in a lovely setting. With no further adieu, I present the honey glazed carrot and coriander and tumeric AND goat cheese frittata. Delish!

Tranquil spot for lunch with amazing views over Bigbury bay. Small menu but we enjoyed a tasty homemade sausage roll and cheese muffin. The latter warm with butter, cheese and chutney. An endless pot of tea and good coffee, according to my other half. Fab cakes including a still warm apricot and frangipane tart. Bring cash as it was cash only today.

Came here while we waited for the tide to go out as the tractor wasn't running. Quite busy and had a little wait, but the sun was out so sitting in the garden was pleasant. We had a frittata each and can easily say the tastiest ones we've ever tried. Even the salad/lentils on side were excellent. Lovely homecooked food and great views, well worth a visit

Wish we had found you before that Venus money trap of cardboard burgers. What a lovely afternoon tea and a fab view. Hope to come back for that lovely quiche and salad you served at next table.

Possibly the best cream tea in all of Devon. The scones were absolutely delicious and the view overlooking the sea while sitting in the garden is amazing

Delicious cream tea - warmed home made scones, home made jam - and great coffee. Service very friendly and welcoming. The rest of the food and the cakes just looked divine. Incredible views across to Burgh Island. You really should go, I say. Plus Charlie also came up trumps when I left my prescription sunglasses there.

Home made sausage rolls are to die for, we were lucky enough to have them straight out of oven. Awesome views had a lovely hour sat on the terrace wife my wife. We found this place by accident what a lovely spot. Will be returning.

50m Steep walk up from car park Friendly. Excellent coffee. Choice of cakes and BLT or gourmet sausage rolls . Great views from outside over to Burg Island. Dog friendly.

Given that there are two cafes in Bigbury, they could serve whatever and wherever price and they'd still have business. And yet, they decided to serve the most delicious light food and sweets! The fritattas are very good and the cakes scrumptious. But it's really the sausage roll that shines- with additional veggies in the filling, it's lovely and juicy and might be the best sausage roll I've ever had. And all of that can be eaten either in the cosy inside or outside in a garden with lovely views. I think I'd go as far as to say that it might in itself be worth braving the B road to Bigbury.
