As I only had a brew, I can't really give a proper review..... But if I was to rate this place on the quality of its pot of Yorkshire tea, it gets 5 stars. I hate it when you get a mug of dishwater and a plastic pot of UHT s**t.
Here you get a teapot (2 teabags) so you can allow it to brew, and its proper Yorkshire blend, not the cheap tea bags that taste of dust. Fresh milk. Perfect.
Visited here on Sunday for a cuppa and cake with the kids. Having delivered here many times for miller food service, it was high time we had a proper visit. Absolutely gem of a cafe, lovely friendly staff and what an amazing location to boot. Next visit will definitely spend more time here.
Very good spot to stop while walking the canal. Next to the famous five rise locks. I am a regular here as I cycle to here very often. Staff are always very friendly the coffee is great and they have great options for cake, various food options, drinks and ice cream. Seating inside and outside they also have areas to lock your bike. Highly recommended.
Stopped off for a coffee and cake on a Sunday afternoon. Managed to sit outside on a rare non raining day this summer. Great spot on the Leeds Liverpool canal. Service good 👍
Stopped here mid walk for a refill.
At the time we visited it was busy as it was midday on a bank holiday.
We had coffee and a pannie, nice enough coffee and filling pannie
Staff are friendly and service is efficient.
Great views of the 5 locks.
The cafe is visited by lots of dog walkers and people cycling the canal path
Lovely place to go either for a meal or just a snack. Great choices on the menu and the quality is excellent. If you are in to cakes and cookies there is a lot of choice as well as scoop ice cream. Ice cream also available for dogs (dog friendly ice cream) Dogs are welcome inside. Nice to sit by the canal weather permitting. 😊
Pleasant and cosy cafe on the side of the canal at this world famous tourist spot.
Nice service, and not over priced! Worth the walk up the canal to see the five locks and enjoy this cafe. Dog friendly too.
Enjoyed a Nice wonderful cappuccino sat outside the cafe with a nice view of the canal and boats.
Went to the five locks cafe today and it was lovely. No e place nice staff and good food. I.had a chicken sandwich crisps salad and coleslaw very nice and served quickly. Anne walker
Perfect place to enjoy a delicious jacket potato, Marshfield ice cream and a very flavoured drink ( plum &cherry) that I have never tried before. The staff is friendly and the café is spacious.
Stopped at the café during a midweek walk along canal. The cafe wasn't too busy for a lunchtime.
The service was good and friendly staff.
We opted for a chicken and bacon salad, feta and olive salad. Both bowls of salad had fresh veg consisting of little gem lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pepper and onion. There was plenty of toppings on both. The salads came with a ranch sauce which boosted the fresh flavour.
A pot of tea and mocha with two salads came to around £15, great value.
Charming cafe by the locks with canal boats passing and along the side. Great trust guide ready to give information on canals and the areas history
