We had an excellent meal followed by live entertainment provided by 'the vibes'. It was a good night out although more people need to take advantage of this good local pub.

Excellent Saturday night at the Saughall. The live band Stolen Property were really good performing songs from 60s to the 90s. Great banter between themselves and the audience. Food was reasonably priced. Non alcoholic Guinness and Heineken available to compliment a range of beers and lagers. Plenty of parking. Kids play area and beer garden for when the weather improves. Dog friendly and a special dog menu too. Worth a visit.

Went to celebrate my hubby’s birthday, haven’t been since lockdown, new management so wasn’t sure what it would be like……absolutely stunning food, service was excellent, most definitely we will be back.

I can’t praise, Emma, Danni and all the staff at the Saughall enough. They provided a wonderful funeral celebration of my husband with 50 mourners attending on Friday. Providing delicious home cooked hot meals, drinks & atmosphere with roaring fires & candlelit tables. It was very cosy and comforting. Everyone who attended was full of praise for the service and personal care we received. Thank you so much.

Edit: What an improvement. The new owners have done a great job!!! The food is amazing. A mix of British classics and South African classics. Highly recommend the wors and pap. SO GOOD.
The staff are lovely, attentive and friendly and the beer is great but the food is absolutely awful. I've had better school dinners. The burger was like a hockey puck and the cheese cake was dry and flavourless. I wouldn't feed it to my dog... if I had a dog. I couldn't stomach it.

Had a fantastic South African meal which was on the specials. Can't remember what it was called now but it was absolutely lovely. It was so nice to be able to try something different. The wife went for sausage and mash and really enjoyed it too. If you haven't been recently, I would recommend to give it a try. The owners are lovely and the food was exceptional 👌
