Sara greeted me with a warm smile on her first day, making my experience extra special. Having previously explored Mexico beyond Cancun, I appreciated the authenticity of Tulum’s cuisine, particularly their use of corn tortillas. The food was delicious, and I even got some flavorful green jalapeño sauce upon request. The margaritas were exceptional, and the blue corn sharing tortillas were a delightful treat. To top it off, the churros were a perfect finale, especially with a side of vanilla ice cream.
We were in a big group of 20 and they were able to accommodate us without issue, taking the downstairs area just for us which was really nice. The staff were also excellent and were very fast with service. Considering there were so many of us, it was great to see that they had prepared well. The food was mostly good, with some of the portion sizes being larger than I could handle. My picks were the cola wings, chicken mole burrito and the mango strawberry dessert. The cola wings and the mango dessert were my favourites of the night. The only slight downside to the experience was that there was a weird smell to the downstairs. You do adjust to it after a short while, but definitely something to be improved on.
But overall a good experience.
