The best restaurant In Birmingham. Such a lovely place and great tasting food and drinks along with great service and amazing ambience. Its been recently renovated as well and it only gets better. Selection of lip smacking dishes and the grand looking bar serving drinks👌🏼at reasonable prices. We are not from Birmingham but we have been to The covered wagon pub style restaurant specially all the way from Swindon to enjoy a meal. Best Indian grill and curry restaurant food I’ve ever tasted. The waiting staff are all excellent and Joseph & team are amazing. A few dishes pictured below is what we had several times. Cheesy naan, butter chicken, The wagon sizzler, sizzling prawns and so on to name a few. Highly recommended 👍🏻
A really good eatery! Portions are huge. I suggest sharing portions that way you can enjoy and taste more of the menu. The meat is super tender and marinated to perfection. Reasonable pricing and Fantastic serving staff

Came here on a whim, heard lots of good things about it so decided to just turn up and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Upon arrival we were shown to our table, shortly after we put in our food and drink order and in no time at all the food and drink were on our table.
The food was delicious, an absolute treat for the taste bud. We had a starter, which is perfect for 2 as 1 each would have been too much. Then, for mains, we order a chicken tikka, chicken biryani, side of mushroom rice, and a couple of poppadoms and naans.
Once we had eaten all we could manage as the dish size is huge, we were given some takeaway boxes to take our leftover home as it would be a shame to waste such delicious food.
We came here as we'd heard about the food. And we weren't disappointed. What couldn't be finished was taken home. Our waitress was very helpful and pleasant too 😊
I've been covered wagon a few times,
Usually later times,
It does have a lot of people going there, of all nationalities, which shows what a quality place it is.
You can't beat a desi pub, 100% better then restaurants, you get bigger portions, wider variety, and it's nice to have a few beers, and go with friends and family
Thank you so much for catering at my husbands 40th and daughters 1st birthday surprise party.
The food was amazing. I expected the standard to be slightly low as it was catered food for mass (170+), but it tasted just as you would order from the restaurant fresh from the kitchen and nothing less. Given the venue had limited facility the food was well prepped and transported, still piping hot and served well to the guests. It tasted absolutely amazing…. Thank you so much and to the waiters who helped serve the food and ensured the guests had been well provided for. In addition, the venue kitchen was cleaned well before they left so no bad review from the venue was sought. Thank you Covered Wagon … definitely recommend eating at the restaurant and catering .. both exceed expectations 6/5
Thanks guys smashing all around
Nice place. Easy to get to, parking, baby changing facility, have the football on, table service and really good food. the portions are generous too.
Only 4* because we got our mains but had to wait a while for our naans and sides and ask the waiter a few times for water/drinks/ napkins etc
Would still go back. Value for money and local to us.
Amazing!!!!! Need I say anymore. Food was great, service was great. Rest assured you get plenty of good quality food for your money and don’t worry if you can’t manage it all when they bring your bill they will offer takeaway containers, bags etc. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely be going again soon.
Amazing place serving finger licking tasty Indian food.
Also great options for vegetarians. Veg Manchurian in starters and Soya Kheema in Mains is a must try.
Though it has huge seating space, the restaurant is usually full therefore better to book a seat before visiting.
Dishes that I tried - Paneer Tikka, Veg Manchurian, Samosa(not so good), Soya Kheema, Butter chicken, Garlic and Plain Naan.
Fantastic good, amazing service, and the friendliest staff.
I have to say, this is the best Indian pub I've been to so far. The food itself isn't the cheapest I've seen, but the quality and portion sizes are great so probably the best value overall that I've experienced so far across Birmingham and Solihull.
If I had to criticise something, it would be the beers on tap as I like craft beer but this is more lager and ale, but there's nothing bad about it, especially considering how good the food is with the friendly staff.
Definitely worth a visit.
