I really liked this place. The food was lovely and I highly recommend the strawberry daiquiri cocktail. Good food, good atmosphere good service. Only downside is make sure you remember you ordered a side to your main. As I forgot, but did get it taken off the bill.
I had never been to mail box - my first experience was great as I really enjoyed the canal walk and the food served here!
We ordered a lot of cocktails, vegetarian starters like nachos, potato skins and garlic mushrooms - all were just too good!
For the mains we ordered Mac n cheese and enchiladas- the former being one of the best i have had so far!
All in all a really good experience.
Normally very suspicious of restaurants that don't know what they are - is it Mexican, Italian, English? The food is usually not the best. However, Red Peppers is an exception. I've eaten there several times and the food is excellent, the service quick and friendly and the ambience delightful. Good cocktails too!
Was taken there for a birthday meal and had lovely time, service unrushed, food great - I had mussels (really meaty and tasty) and a grilled salmon special (could have done with more of the advertised spinach though!) good value, would reccommend and definitely return !
Lovely. I love it here, I actually went for the first time and just had a burger and then went again for a party with around 30 of us. The service was fantastic even with a party that size, nothing was too much trouble.
The warm goats cheese salad is amazing and I am off there again tomorrow.
Enjoy!
I can recomend the burrito.
I've been here a few times and always had a good time there. The food is always great quality and comes fairly quickly.
The restaurant is quite open with lots of space, and the window seats give you nice views of the canals, Mailbox and the Cube.
Great Good. Great drinks. Staff were really nice and each one had a smile on their face, especially on a busy Saturday night. Restraunt is good looking and the atmosphere is nice. I think this place is over-looked in the Mailbox with the likes of Miller & Carter and MPW there but from someone who has been to all of them I would definently go to Red Peppers over anywhere else in the Mailbox.
Food was great. It came out nice and hot which I didn't expect since it was a friday night. The service was good to start with but got really slow at the end when wanting to leave.
Been here loads of times, was there last night with work... There were 12 of us and we all had a great time. The food and service was amazing.
We pre ordered our food which made things loads easier for everyone, 2-4-1 cocktails was an added bonus... If ur in the area you need to drop in.
Thanks very much RPB
Excellent place to eat, staff very friendly and helpful. Good food and it was hot.
The food is fantastic but the service was slow... Had to keep reminding the waiter for our drinks each time they ran out. However, the food made up for all those silly errors because it was top-notch ..
Perfect date
I have been to red peppers once a month for the last year, and can honestly say I've never had an experience that's anything other than excellent. The menu isn't the largest, or complex, but the food they offer is of top quality and is the best restaurant of it's kind that I've ever experienced. The staff are very friendly in their service, but don't hound you like some other companies, but still provide a top level of service. No other food outlet has cemented my loyalty like this place, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Try it out.
Had the chicken & ribs and my friend had the Cajun baby chicken. Service was good and friendly staff were nice and welcoming, prices are okayish but I guess it depends on what you order. I thought the Cajun chicken was small but my ribs and chicken were definitely worth it. Overall would recommend this place but it depends on what your budget is 💯
Stopped off here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was quite busy but there was a warm atmosphere and you felt well looked after. There was a real mixed group of people dining here, from couples with young children to small groups of teenagers.
We ordered from the lunchtime specials menu which in my opinion offers good value for money (providing you're only after a light lunch!) - we ordered the goats cheese "pizzeta" and the salmon fishcake salad.
At this time of the day, only the upstairs of the restaurant was in use, but I got a peek at the downstairs seating area on my way to the toilets and I liked the look of it with views over the water.
I had the Thai green curry from the speciality menu and it was nice! However it was the staff who were really friendly that made the night for us, we went for a birthday and they helped make it extra special. I can only assume it was the manager, but she brought us balloons and birthday ice cream, so thank you!
We first are here back in 2012 and loved it so much we made sure we came back when we were next in Birmingham. The food is excellent quality and generous portion sizes too. For example I ordered the chicken & ribs and most restaurants will give you half a rack, but here it was a whole rack with a good portion of chicken (thigh and wing). The calamari we had for our starter was the best we’ve tasted too, from anywhere, which is saying something. Add to this how great the cocktails are and you’re in to a winner. They do a proper mojito! Friendly staff too make it a great choice. Wish we lived closer!
