Authentic Austrian Food even if some of the staff do not speak German. Great intimate place to visit but you must book in advance most of the time. Great beer and wine and well prepared food for what is essentially a very good price. Only fault is the access to the downstairs bar - too many steps to be in any way accessible. Waitress service is good though so that makes up for the loss of the bar. Love the food. Highly recommend this place.
Unfortunately Franzls is now closed permanently.

It was many years since i've been to Franzls and it was just by pure luck that we were driving around looking for a place to eat. We decided to give it a try on a early saturday evening without a reservation we got ourselves a table. We also were able to find parking outside the restaurant on Milcote Street. Luck was on our side! It is in an area that you wouldn't think would harbour such a superb place!
