We stayed at the Peacock Inn for Download Festival 2018. John was really helpful with matters of transport required to and from the Gig. Really friendly staff and always there to help. We really enjoyed ourselves, especially the entertainment on Saturday night with Barry (Legend) the Karaoke King.

I have a bad habit of ordering a burger pretty much wherever I go. Burgers are safe - they're probably not going to blow you away, but they're probably not going to disappoint you either. So the question becomes, when the food arrives, do I look at everyone else's plate and wish I had ordered something else? We had a big family meal at the Peacock Inn today, and as per usual I got the burger. And when everyone's food arrived I thought, "damn, I should have ordered something else." Everything looked so good. Dont get me wrong, the burger was nice, but the other dishes looked special. So I definitely plan on coming back, and Ill do so with the confidence to try another of the amazing options on the menu. The service was great. It was a tiny bit louder than expected inside, which made it feel more lively than I had expected.

Loved the Peacock back in the day, went today and it's been revamped, good food, atmosphere and a nice place to be and enjoy some time with friends and family. Also top tier beers, Peroni, Madri and Moretti.

Christmas meal Place is lovely, friendly staff. Most of the meal was beautiful, starters and 1 meal was really lovely, Mushroom and squid starters beautiful, the roast pork belly melted in your mouth but the sirlion roast beef dinner was not on par with the other main, after waiting over an hour for the main to come out the beef was wafer thin, no taste rather like you have for sandwich beef. After being out all day and we had not eaten, this was disappointing. However, staff dealt with our concern when raised. This has definitely not put us off eating her again as the rest of the food was cooked just perfectly.

I love this pub, but I have to say that Stephanie is my absolute favorite waitress. She is a breath of fresh air, no messing, hilarious and all round gorgeous. Definitely recommend The Peacock for the whole package.

Looking for somewhere different to go we ended up here. It's a lovely location in the countryside and has a very rustic look about it. Although advertised outside as a Greene King Pub the menu appeared more sophisticated. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, the food good, cooked well and this place is well worth a visit. It is only marked down on atmosphere because on the day we were there there was a rather loud screaming child in the premises.

We stopped here during a bike ride for lunch. Fantastic choice of meals for vegetarians and vegans. It was a busy weekday with a birthday party going on, so the one server apologised for the delay in getting served. However, the food came out quickly and was excellent. The server was a lovely lady, very polite and she gave us a warm welcome, despite our lycra attire!

Hadn't visited The Peacock for a while, thought we would try Sunday lunch today. Trio of meats, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and vegetables all cooked perfectly, roast potatoes in goose fat, garlic and rosemary, everything very tasty and good quality. Sticky toffee pudding with date sauce fantastic! Thanks to Stephanie our host and Steve the new chef, we will be coming back for more in near future.

Visited for the first time this lunch time. Food was really good, and served without too much time waiting, beautifully presented, by a really helpful waitress. Only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that the hot drinks machine was broken so we couldn't finish our meal off with a coffee. Certainly somewhere to come again though with friends

Great location for a country walk around the Forhill area, including the Roman Road Iknield Street. - A bit steep in places. (cars get stuck on the icy hill in winter) There is plenty of parking available at the Pub. Great range of meals available with indoor and outdoor seating. It is also a dog friendly Pub, with water and doggie treats available.

Lovely experience, friendly attentive staff, they even had a separate gluten free menu which was delicious 😋
