We visited in a weekday night it was quite busy. The young lady who serve lots of tables but still very welcoming and polite.
The interior is clean and I like the brightness with lots of windows.
Carvery is good. We like gammon and beef. Ordered a Wellington spinach and salmon which I won't order next time. Just go there for carvery which is satisfying.
We think that the special two course menu should be prominent and on the table alongside the other menus. We eat in many Toby Carvery's and at each one it's exactly the same, this special two course menu is kept out of site and is only produced when prompted. If Toby don't really want us to have this offer then why not remove it all together. Many thanks, Randy
Staff so welcoming and literally went above and beyond for us the entire time. Nothing was too much trouble for them! The chef team were more than happy to assist and support on the floor as the waitress was so busy. They even took back a desert without being asked to put it under the hot plate as they could see that one of our diners had popped to the loo and were disabled so would be a few minutes!
Only downside I saw is that tips aren’t shared…. It would be nice for the chefs to see some of it as they were working just as hard as everyone else!
Food was as expected however our waitress, Darcy, went above and beyond to help out our table- recommending puddings and accommodating to our different dietary requirements. Careful of the parking, but you should be fine as long as you enter your registration.
Myself and my teenage son ate here last week. All of the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious, the dumplings were so good and a very welcome addition to our dinner.
We will definitely come back for another visit.
It was easy to book a table on the app, we were shown to our table promptly. We decided on a carvery which we then went and got. It was so yummy, with succulent meat- gammon and beef for me and turkey and beef for my boyfriend. The veg was superb! We loved it and went home full and satisfied. Lovely, friendly staff as well and clean toilets. Thanks so much!
Sometimes I really crave a Carvery, so I come here today at lunchtime on my own while on my lunch break. I did not feel awkward at all being alone, as the staff were really nice and and there was a nice atmosphere. The food was sublime, absolutely fantastic. From looking at the negative reviews, I don’t believe we were all in the same Toby Carvery, I thought it was quite alright.
First visit to a Toby Carvery and would highly recommend. The food and service here was outstanding.
The chap (I didn't catch a name) who sat us was really helpful and informative, our waitress, Eliza, was really friendly helpful and attentive and the gent carving the meat was really lovely too (especially as it was very busy!).
Oh and our pud was incredible! Cookie dough sundae yum yum! Full tummies and smiling faces all around.
Very good impression for our 1st visit, greeted quickly and shown our table promptly. Waitress was lovely and not too pushy ,I would have liked a choice of more vegetables instead of pasta not sure why that was there for a traditional roast dinner ?
Stopped by for some breakfast, it's all you can eat. It was my first time gaming a Yorkshire pudding and gravy for breakfast. Although the quality of some of the ingredients isn't that great for the price and the fact it's all you can eat is still very good value. Hot drinks are also refill which again means great value. Staff were friendly and let you get on with it. Remember to put your number plate in the tablet at the bar to avoid a ticket.
