Had a fabulous Sunday lunch! The food was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. We were seated early when a table became available. Our waiter Grace was so brilliant - attentive and went out of her way to ensure we had absolutely everything we needed! Superb - definitely going back!

We used the White Swan on Thursday for a hurriedly arranged birthday gathering. The staff found us a private area by the bar which was perfect. We decided to order some table food but also had access to the dining menu. The food came quickly and was a superb standard. The highlight of our experience was the service offered by a lad named James. He was polite, courteous, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Quite simply some of the best service we have experienced anywhere. Many thanks and will definitely visit again.

Setting is lovely, staff are lovely. We came for Sunday roast which was also lovely, just not enough in serving. I had 2 small roast potatoes and my partner who is a big eater, picked something up on the way home. Pricier than some other great roasts we have had.

I was last there two years ago when there several niggling things wrong with the experience. I reviewed it and was impressed to receive a reply saying you valued the criticisms and would use them to improve the offering. It would appear that those weren’t just words because I am pleased to say that everything ran much more smoothly this time. We arrived half an hour before the time of our booking for a drink in the bar. After a few minutes, we were told a table had become available should we wish to start lunch a bit early - which we did. That made us feel valued. We had different roasts and everything on the plates was delicious. Portion sizes were spot-on. One meal came with a mini-pan of gravy, the other had gravy already poured over. We preferred the mini-pan. If anything, the meals arrived a bit t quickly. And, to continue being über-picky, they could’ve been just a couple of degrees hotter. Overall, we were very satisfied, though. Another tiny caveat; a jar of horseradish sauce arrived promptly but with a dessert spoon rather than a teaspoon; and a saucer under the jar would’ve given us somewhere to park the horseradishy spoon instead of directly on the table (we could’ve left it sticking out of the jar, I suppose). Wines by the glass were enjoyed and correctly and promptly served. Sticky toffee pudding with ginger ice cream was a smash hit. White chocolate crème brûlée was also great with plenty of white chocolate flavour and a super-thin, perfectly brûléed top. I would point out, however, that the menu promised an accompaniment of lemon sugared raspberries (which sounded like a fabulous combination with the brûlée) but they turned out to be just two or three (literally) berries acting more as decoration, and not evidently lemony or sugary. Lunch for two wasn’t exactly a bargain but was perfectly reasonably priced in these inflationary times. The staff were efficient and uniformly lovely. And you attract a civilised, family-oriented crowd. At the risk of repeating myself, all the above criticisms are really small and are mentioned only because you asked for feedback. It's my second time for mother's day in that place. It was absolutely amazing, delicious food, quick kind service nice atmosphere. Another great time with my daughter in that beautiful place. Is also worth to mention car park is for free and what is the best for animals lovers.. You can take them with you x

Dropped in for lunch after tennis today. Didn’t book in advance as was on a whim. Staff were super friendly and found a table for two for 1.5 hours, which was more than enough. Had perfectly cooked scallops on my linguine and my boy was super impressed with his dirty burger. We’ve coming to the White Swan on-and-off for the past few years. This place never disappoints.

Excellent service from start to finish,very warm welcome, nice selection of beers and wine,the food was very good and the service was first rate. Thank you Charlotte for your excellent service 👏. Would definitely recommend you pay this pub a visit to sample their hospitality. Lastly the fact that dogs were allowed in certain areas was good news. All in all a superb place.
