Fish n Chips Fish 9/10 Chips 6/10 Peas 9/10 I marked the fish down 1 point, only because the tail end was too hard to chew and eat. Otherwise a very tasty fish. The chips tasted as if they had been sat waiting for a while before being served. Peas gets knocked off a point purely because of the pres
Booked for a night to save travelling back late after a show. Staff were extremely quick, friendly and helpful! Drinks appeared almost instantly and meals were at the table within 5 minutes, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The room was clean (With the odd scuff but thats to be expe
It's a spoons, does what it's designed for. A good hideout from the rain with the added bonus of lunch and a pint for less than £10. Can't go wrong in my eyes. We all know what spoons is, it's god damn beautiful that's what.
Review for pub only, not hotel. It's a large Wetherspoons with the usual range of drinks and food. Prices are higher than my local Wetherspoons, but this is in the city centre. Most seating is out in the open, so it isn't as cosy as some pubs. I wasn't impressed with my burger but the beer was good.
Booked an accessible room, which should have been a clue, as am blind, yet asked to full in a paper from🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Room was good size, clean and tidy. Only issues were position of TV, up high on wall no good for those with visual disabilities, again accessible room. Shower had only 1 setting very hot
I only use the pub to drink and eat in ,like all weatherspoons pubs always great value sometimes I wonder how they can pay all the staff but looking round it's such a popular pub and it regularly gets packed out only thing that puts me off is trying to get to the bar somedays, and when you go to use
Currently quiet and not noisy when at their busiest.Selected drinks affordable and good value. Does have its busy days though. Worth a visit but no outdoor area due to location in city centre.
Decent staff, decent food. Good prices. Just need to work on the attention to detail and would easily have been a 5.
Central Birmingham city. Service is good. Food was very tasty..we had steak chips and salad. No complaints. Prices are very reasonable. Tables could do with a clean between customers.
Great little pub but does get busy. We felt the organisation wasnt great as we saw 4 people get food before us but ordered after us! We brought it up with the manager who apologised and offered complimentary drinks as an apology and our food was made and brought out next.
I just wanted to leave a review as I came to the Briar Rose for drinks and food on Saturday 24th June and I had never been in Brum before and my friends and I wanted to go somewhere for drinks in the evening. So we started at the spoons as it’s familiar - the food was lovely as expected for spoons b
We had an amazing time staying in the hotel and using the pub below. Staff in the pub were polite, friendly and ran a tight ship. Staying in the hotel was comfortable and after I misplaced my laptop, they helped locate and return it - very grateful to The Briar Rose for a lovely weekend.
A busy city centre Wetherspoons with rooms (which I haven't stayed in, so can't comment). Normal 'spoons clientele and the staff cope admirably. Service was relatively fast, and the food (standard JDW menu) was good and arrived quickly. Floor staff were courteous and empty plates cleared promptly aw
Went Monday morning for breakfast. Nice and quiet. Great service, excellent quality breakfast. Best I've had at a wethers for ages.
Only used the pub for a lunch-time meeting with an old friend. Good atmosphere. Food and drinks fine. Prices not exorbitant for a city centre venue.
Very fast service and a good meal, only slight issue is the steak was overcooked..... Not cremated so didn't complain.... Yes I would definitely go back.
Great prices and lovely staff made me feel welcome. The decor is comfortable and still has retained its original character.
