Excellent value for money in the centre of Birmingham, went to a gig at town hall which is only a couple of minutes walk away. Room was very spacious and had everything you need. Breakfast served at 7am which was great. Yes it was noisy outside but it was a bank holiday and not hotels fault! Great location, very friendly welcoming staff.

Extremely busy and very noisy. However the staff worked hard to clean and clear tables and service was still friendly under pressure. Lots of nice beers on tap. Good location. Perhaps I would rate it 5 * if it was quieter. The noise level was a bit much for me.

We really enjoying our stay, the staff is very friendly and its really close to the train station. The pub is great and the prices are cheap. The room is clean and nicely stocked . There are a lot of plumbing noises and our sink drain was stuck shut. The toilet flush is weak. Plenty of hot water, very good water pressure. The area at night does not feel safe.

Absolutely incredible pub. Friendly staff, great service and seems very well put together when it gets busy. 100% would recommend for people wanting cheap but good quality drinks and food for a night out.

Another great wetherspoons. Located in the centre of Birmingham The rooms are excellent and the reception staff are outstanding even organising a taxi for us and facilitating food and drink orders well done to them The pub had good table service even when it was rammed on Saturday afternoon with football supporters filling up before an 8pm kickoff. It was good they made the effort to check our food was ok shortly after delivering it to our table

This was perfect for what I needed. Great security, you need a card to get in the front door, your floor and your room which made me feel that bit safer. The room perfect, had an iron and ironing board in the room which was brilliant. I’ll certainly be back

I stayed in the hotel which was more than what I expected from a Wetherspoons. The room was very clean, with very friendly reception staff, especially from the receptionist this morning who greeted us very warmly. The bar was busy in the night, but we had very fast service via the app and breakfast this morning was spot on. There was a young gentleman and lady serving us who made every effort to make our morning bright. Even at 8am they had smiles on their faces! Keep up the good work briar rose👍🏻we will be back.

Wow what a place! Me and a few friends visiting Birmingham and ended up in the briar rose, really glad we did. We all ordered on the app and our food and drink arrived really quick especially with it being a busy Saturday night! The food was hot and good quality with a big selection of drinks. The lady behind the bar with the pink hair was so lovely and really made our evening. All in all a very good experience with attentive staff quick service and good quality food for the price you pay!

It's the first time to stay there for us, so we didn't know what to expect. Our room was very clean and comfortable, bathroom spotless and a great shower. The towel rail was a good addition and very warm. If I'm honest, I would think twice about staying again, only because our room was looking out on Bennets Hill and very noisy early morning, so didn't get very good sleep. The lift (elevator if you're American) didn't work at all. Apparently, it's quite often out of service.

This is a gorgeous place!! Situated in the middle of the city, perfect to reach with public transport. Rooms exactly as described on homepage. A pub is part of it selling wonderful and inexpensive food with good coffees and free refills!! I would recommend staying here!

We came into this spoons recently for the first time. With a Wetherspoons you generally know what to expect but with this one we were pleasantly surprised and not just by its unusual ‘boutique’ feel. The place was very busy due to the Christmas market nearby but we were pleased to be served drinks rather quickly and were greeted in a very friendly way. We found a table, after a few minutes, that was vacated by previous diners. The table was cleared away and cleaned quickly and efficiently and we were asked if we’re having a good evening by the waitress. We then decided we would order food as we felt the place was running smoothly despite how busy it was. My husband went to order and I looked around and noticed, who I assumed was the manager, who seemed to have his eye on everything, and seemed to notice every detail, pointing staff in the right direction. My husband wasn’t away ordering as long as expected and the food didn’t take too long to be brought out to us either. We were asked if our food was ok after about five minutes - It was hot and tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our empty plates were taken away quickly. We had another drink and left. We have to say we were very impressed with everything we saw at this Wetherspoons and will gladly return to it.

The food wasn't very warm even. Not sure what to make of that. Most witherspoons I've used, the food has been good.

Stopped here last night in room 110, cannot fault any part of the hotel for what we needed it for. Which was somewhere to bed down after the new year’s celebrations. My only complaint about the room was the shower it was luke warm on both times of using it. Other than that absolutely brilliant location.

Great for drink in town. Food was good but 2 plates were unclean & we were in the dilemma of do we risk asking or say nothing. We went with the former & hoped 🤞🏻

Just great fun at great, cheap Weatherspoon prices. Loved using the app to get table service. An umpteenth visit this evening and a great atmosphere before a Villa European game - and I hate Villa. Lots of people drinking and eating in a friendly environment. Oh, yes, and pleasant hard working staff.

Really good place this. Cheap as chips for a breakfast the beer is well priced too compared to most places. The tables we tended to sit are were usually sticky in places and the menus were sticky too. But other than that the food quality etc was great for what you pay!
