I had my 40th Birthday party here last weekend and it was the most amazing experience. I can’t recommend this wonderful venue and their team enough.
The whole process was so easy and smooth, everybody was so nice, helpful and accommodating, the food was lovely and the venue was just perfect.
Thank you to Lana for helping me plan the perfect night, from our first meeting over brunch, through to all the help during the party, and to the whole team for the great service on the night too. So many of my guests said how amazing the place was. Honestly, if you’re looking for somewhere to host an event, definitely give them a visit. You won’t be disappointed. x

Has the MOST DELISH oat chai latte. I’d say the best I’ve tried in Birmingham, and I’ve tried a few places. The temperature was nice and hot and the flavour of the chai they used was so goooooood! Loved the generous amount of cinnamon on the top also, especially on a cold day. This beautiful chai warmed me soul, especially being surrounded by some beautiful plants and the cute little art shop with local artists selling their beautiful creations. Amazing service also. I had to have 2 of these lovely chai’s on this particular day. Thank you so much for this chai that I could feel was made with Love. I’ll be back and make sure to tell all my friends to visit your beautiful cafe.

We had our wedding at the Kitchen Garden Cafe last month and it was an absolute dream! Lana and the team were absolutely AMAZING and made our day everything we dreamed of. Lana was so helpful and was always there if we needed anything in both the run-up and on the day, she went above and beyond (especially decorating our cheesecake, I was so impressed, it looked incredible) thank you so much, we are so grateful!!! Recommend the Kitchen Garden to anyone who is looking for a quirky, friendly, welcoming, loving and fun place to have their wedding! Katie & Ikra xx

I photographed a wedding at Kitchen Garden Cafe last summer and it was the most beautiful spot for a small wedding. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the party was intimate yet full of fun. Plus plenty of spots both inside and around Kings Heath for couple portraits.

It was a nice hole-in-the-wall type of place. Glad to have found this. Food was worth it with good amount of serving. Ambience is rustic and homey. And they even have events at night, would want to see it someday. Only thing is that parking to get here is a nightmare because it's a residential area.

We visited KGC for Sunday brunch, service was swift and friendly, the setting was very relaxed and comfortable- with the option of sitting outdoors or indoors- and the food was tasty and of good quality.
The cafe is set-off the high street and is a 'tranquil oasis' in an urban setting- ideal for a peaceful brunch or coffee.

An excellent example of a bohemian cafe tucked away down an alley way the back of an small garden centre shop. This is the best bohemian cafe I’ve visited in Birmingham. Kitchen Garden Cafe offer a superlative choice of brunch menu items to suit the tastes of veggies, vegans and omnivores.
On Sunday Sunday roast lunch options are served from 12pm: including beef and nut roast. Loads of space, an eclectic array of furniture to seat your restful selves in a relaxed atmosphere. Kitchen Garden Cafe caters for all including families. With many switched on serving staff members available your orders will arrive in a respectful time frame.
There is a garden centre shop nearby, and an outdoor area. Lots of quirk to keep the senses engaged.

Agreeable place. Chai latte was delicious!
The cakes& bakes are tasty but for my personal taste it was a bit too much. Definitely would recommend it 😊!

Me and my new wife decided to have our wedding reception here on 14/10/23 and it was everything we could have ever wished for. The staff were amazing in every single way with the drinks, setting the room up, the decorations and the food was so good and a great selection and they we're there whenever we needed them, a massive thank you to the manager Lana who went above and beyond to make sure everything we asked for was done perfectly and making sure that the night went smoothly and going above and beyond all night. I would highly recommend hiring the venue for your event as we were truly blown away by the service we received. Thank you so much for making the night so special!

I couldn't eat the food I had to go the cheap shop to get burger with was 10 times better than the food u guys served us .

In some ways I don't want to write this review as I don't want this place to get too busy that we can't get a table!!!! Fantastic hidden gem. Staff wonderful. Disappointing lunchtime visit yesterday. When I asked the server what the pasta of the day was I was told to look at the blackboard. I looked and saw that it was macaroni and cheese, so I asked for this only to be told there was no macaroni! I was then shown a list of at least half a dozen other items that had run out. My partner's order of a burger was supposed to come with chips, but these were also off the menu and no replacement (or discount) was offered, although a free drink was offered as an afterthought once we already had our food and drinks. All in all pretty disappointing. A shame really as it's a quirky little place with a nice outside area, but I won't be ordering food here again.

I've always enjoyed the Kitchen Garden. I love the spiced chai latte and have had some amazing salads there, all at a reasonable price- very happy to pay a bit more for a nice setting and fresh ingredients. However, I do question the £5.95 price tag on a scotch egg. It would be shame if a lovely cafe like this priced their loyal customers out of the market. Remember this is Kings Heath, not Knightsbridge!

Fantastic experience!!! This was our first time to the storytelling cafe and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It's well worth a visit.

I wanted to love this quirky, pretty little venue, but the food really let it down: the Hollandaise sauce on my Eggs Benedict was unpalatable, the chips were disappointing, and the tartar sauce that came with a friend's fish and chips was actively unpleasant. I wouldn't come back in a hurry.

Had breakfast with a friend today, great atmosphere & a great breakfast, certainly recommend this great/creative Cafe! ☕️

Nice atmosphere and great menu choices.
However, I ordered olive and feta salad, and my mum ordered falafel salad. Not only was mine half the size of hers (but the same price) it was served on a hot plate so not very nice

A charming little gem of a place. A great venue for intimate gigs, and much more. My first visit certainly wasn't disappointing, and I will be returning soon.

Spicy tomato soup to die for, lovely omelettes and sausage rolls. I thoroughly recommend it, just wish we were around long enough to come back and see some live music

We ate at the kitchen garden cafe this morning. Food took over 45 minutes to come out. Staff were unhelpful and abrupt. The food came out in no discernible order. They left two people waiting for their food for 45 minutes and then told them they had run out of what they'd ordered. One person's side order of black pudding came out 30 minutes before his full english; we returned it and asked if a hot portion could come out when his breakfast did and by the time it came out they'd run out of black pudding. They were unapologetic when we complained. I didn't get my breakfast...after waiting so long everyone else had finished eating, I just cancelled it. Out of 16 people, 3 people ended up with refunds and no breakfast. Appalling. The only explanation we got was that the kitchen was small. I would argue that if you can't handle groups then don't book them in. I booked the table with the manager and told him that it was a special occasion, and he said there would be no problems. We also ordered in groups of 2 or 3, not as one big group. Even then when food came out that someone had ordered, part of the order would come out and it would be 10 or more minutes before the other part of their order came out. The staff seemed to be allergic to the word "sorry" and didn't seem to care at all about customer service. I have been going there since it opened and I cannot believe how atrocious the service has gotten. Avoid.

This is a really friendly place, tucked away off Kings Heath high street. Some things on the menu are on the pricey side, but if you're not wanting to spend too much there are cheaper options too. It's worth trying out both the lunch and evening menus, as they're very different - my favourite is the tapas-style evening menu. I'll be going back again and again!! Great for live music too!
