We ate here twice recently while in Birmingham, food was very quick, hot and fresh only slight let down were old onion rings on the 1st visit. Second time they were fresh. Overall really enjoyed it.
It does attract some odd types, more so than a normal spoons I guess because of location.
It's impossible to talk about Birmingham's traditional pubs without mentioning the Square Peg, a true Brummie classic where you meet all types of people from all different social levels.
We arrived for a quick visit to Birmingham on Saturday morning, hungry, we chose the Square Peg for breakfast, it was completely packed, we ordered via the app and the food arrived quickly and hot at our table.
For those who don't know it yet, it's worth immersing yourself in Birmingham's culture by having a drink and enjoying delicious dishes in the purest English style.
Mega pub! It's the only way to describe this place. Huge and very busy, but well managed. Plenty of staff available to attend to bar patrons as well seated customers that wanted food. I ordered a jacket spud (because healthy...) and my beer colleagues had a chicken burger and a pizza. All were ordered using the Wetherspoons app and all meals were brought to us pretty quick (considering how busy it was on a Saturday afternoon). Delicious too. Top marks to Wetherspoons on this venue. Great service all round.👌🏼
Like other Wetherspoon bar and restaurant, many different choices of food and drink. Most important is reasonable price, especially providing an afternoon tea deal for Monday to Friday although today is Good Friday, bank holiday.
We were here on our weekend in Birmingham. Had breakfast sat 21st, lovely, has evening food on sat 21st too and drinks. Fab food and friendly staff and service. Manager, Liam very happy cheery too. Thank you all.
Not been here in a while and normally in the evening. This time went early for a muffin special along with a coffee. Breakfast muffin and coffee were hot and tasty, just enough to fill me up. Served with a smile and quick at that. Very hard to beat cost wise for a city centre location.

Nice and polite staff. Lovely food however I’ve noticed a price difference in different Wetherspoons, should always be the same price.
Nice pub before makeover ,but even nicer now,bar staff always polite and do there job properly found them most helpful,grubs always good and nearly always asked if the meal was enjoyable,found personalitys of staff a delight and always bubbley and chatty especially Chloe always smiling happy and helpful ,all staff really hard working,beer well priced and weatherspoons pubs best in Brum ,toilets well looked after cleaned and checked regularly that hygienic , probably could eat off floor always plenty of toilet paper which is always a thumbs up to me ,take my hat off to staff and management, THE OWNER OF THE WEATHERSPOON CHAIN I THINK ITS TIM MARTIN CAN BE PROUD OF HIS STAFF AND PUBS, The reason I've only given four stars is sometimes the pub is so packed out I can't find anywhere to sit,and beggars and people coming off the street to sell things can be a nuisance when all you want is to enjoy your drink..😁👍
