We've been here a few times now & it's always been a nice experience... but... a few weeks ago we popped in for food & drink on a Saturday... which wasn't a very nice experience at all. The food was fine..., but..., the service was very poor.., to the point we waited almost an hour between main course & dessert. This left us thinking about finding an alternative place to eat.
We thought we'd give it one more chance today... and thanks to Adam, our faith in the country girl was fully restored.
Adam is/was very polite, attentive and efficient... he is a credit to the country girl.

Love this place staff always more than welcome to help with anything you need! Great relaxed atmosphere! Management are great and so accommodating! Recommend to anyone great food and drink prices reasonable!
The staff were welcoming and friendly, the service was great. There was a buzzing and lively atmosphere. It was busy but the staff were attentive and quickly served our drinks and food. We went as a family for an evening meal and we each ordered a different dish. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, it was cooked perfectly. We will definitely return for another visit soon. Thank you

The interior is spacious, yet cosy and welcoming with a large selection of draughts and bottles on offer.
The menu is standard pub fayre, which is fantastic. However when it came to ordering a roast Sunday dinner, they had run out of meat. We went for an alternative option only to be told they'd also run out of pigs in blankets.
I opted for a burger instead, which was pleasant enough, but not quite what I wanted.
There is a car park and outdoor seating, and also a covered smoking area.
Vaping is permitted outside of the building.
Another bonus is that this pub wasn't too student oriented and had a mixture of customers of all ages, which is rare in that part of town.
The atmosphere is lovely, staff really nice.
Had the roast duo was sooo yummy, the side of cauliflower cheese was fab and cheesy! Actually enjoyed it better than a Toby Carvery, nice portion too. Sticky toffee pud was lush!
Family members like meeting us there as dog friendly, clean, lovely food and staff.

My first impression was outside it was litter free and very welcoming and it got better as we went in, it was decorated lovely and the seats and floor really clean. The menu had a good choice of meals , we ordered the posh fish and chips which was great. The service was excellent you felt like you were in a restaurant not just a pub , the workers in there couldn't do enough for you , fantastic.
We don't live by there but we will certainly be going back.
I visited the toilets and was shocked to see how nice they were beautifully clean and nicely decorated.
Amazing food, very good quality. All the dishes were really tasty. I found the gammon too salty. The decoration is beautiful, however the smell of beer in the atmosphere was intense and the table was sticky. The fixed courses are totally worth it.
Visited country girl a few weeks ago with my two daughters and little granddaughter for the first time. Food was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely afternoon. Unfortunately received a parking fine in the post. Contacted country girl about this and a massive thank you to sharon who sorted it out for me.
Can't wait to visit country girl again soon!
Really had a nice hot meal, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Booked a table for 7. And didn't have to wait long for are meals. Will be going again.
Really enjoyed our first visit, staff were friendly and our table (booked in advance) was clean and tidy. We were a little late in the day (4pm) for Sunday lunch and all the turkey had gone, but the roast beef was still available and was lovely. Desserts also great. We were offered taster drinks at the bar to help decide on an ale which was a nice touch. Will be back in future!
Great little pub for a drink with a wide range of lager and ale to choose from, just been refurbished and it looks great. Plenty if outdoor seating with a fairly large carpark at the back. Food was average but for a few drinks it's definitely worth the visit.
Lovely staff who always go above and beyond. Came in on a busy warm Friday evening for some dinner which was delicious. Great food with great service. Will definitely be returning again soon.
