We've been here a few times now & it's always been a nice experience... but... a few weeks ago we popped in for food & drink on a Saturday... which wasn't a very nice experience at all. The food was fine..., but..., the service was very poor.., to the point we waited almost an hour between main course & dessert. This left us thinking about finding an alternative place to eat.
We thought we'd give it one more chance today... and thanks to Adam, our faith in the country girl was fully restored.
Adam is/was very polite, attentive and efficient... he is a credit to the country girl.

Love this place staff always more than welcome to help with anything you need! Great relaxed atmosphere! Management are great and so accommodating! Recommend to anyone great food and drink prices reasonable!

Came here for my birthday Yesterday 6th Jan... Enjoyed the meal, staff were friendly and very polite and helpful. Will definitely be returning.
Really lovely place. Dogs welcome, staff great, very friendly. Ordered food a little before 12 as we had a booking at Cadbury. As soon as kitchen was set up and open we were served, just brilliant and appreciated! Lots of seats, some outdoors.
Getting a 3 course meal for £11.79 was such a bargain. The atmosphere was cozy and chill, perfect for hanging out with friends and family. The staff were all kind and friendly.
Really nice pub with good wholesome food. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We had a table booked but due to family issues ended up at the pub an hour earlier but it was no problem as they happily seated us.
We used the QR codes to order and pay for the food and it was served in good time with no delays.
Nothing to fault about this pub, really sets a good high standard and we would definitely recommend 👌👌
Took my elderly mom for a meal today, who lives in the area & courted with my dad there over 57yrs ago, the last time I went was 20yrs ago, and was more than pleasantly surprised to find how beautiful, clean and friendly it is, better than it ever was. The food was tasty & affordable, service was good and staff friendly and polite, was a lovely atmosphere with open fires keeping it nice and warm and homely. Definitely going again, well done all the staff & management.

I love this pub. It looks cosy from the outside and is incredibly cosy on the inside. All the tables are well spaced, and the lighting is nicely dimmed.
The food was great, and it wasn't overly busy, which was just right for a late lunch!
Amazing food, very good quality. All the dishes were really tasty. I found the gammon too salty. The decoration is beautiful, however the smell of beer in the atmosphere was intense and the table was sticky. The fixed courses are totally worth it.
Lovely place with open plan seating and family and dog friendly. Caters for all gatherings from wakes to Halloween baby showers, birthdays and end of term teachers chill out sessions. Always a good atmosphere and a mix of people from students to local regulars. Decent seating outside some under cover and easy lighting. Food generally good served by great friendly staff. Can get busy but never feels overcrowded. Great range of guest beers and ciders. Proper Job which is a rarity up here is currently on draught. Unlike the Dog on the Hagley Road it's great that the reserved tables show booked times on them so you can use them freely before the people arrive.
Always been able to find a seat without booking. Our go to pub at the moment even though there are at least 20 nearer that we could go to.
Great pub, great vegetarian roast. Very friendly staff and lovely setting.
Dropped into the County Girl tonight early doors 5:00 pm with the dog. 16/02/24 was busy but a few spare tables.

This is a lovely pub. It is very clean and comfortable. We visited on a Friday lunchtime and it was busy but still quiet enough for conservation. There are plenty of tables to sit at. It has got an extensive menu at reasonable prices.
The food was served quickly after it was ordered. In general the food was good. I did have a steak that wasn't the best - it was tough even though it had been cooked exactly as I ordered. Unfortunately you sometimes get a steak like that.(It didn't warant a complaint though) The rest of the food we ordered was excellent.
Lovely pub, with really friendly staff and manager. Was able to help me reserve a table which we liked for a birthday meal. Food quality and service is always exceptional whenever we have food. Try the vegan cheesecake
Good prices with a nice cosy atmosphere and lots of seating. Perfect place to hang out for a pint and some pub grub. Don't expect much in the way of service though.
We had a good meal, asked about blue light card which if you use the app you get 20% off so a bonus, food not badley priced anyway, service was quick and staff were pleasant, would go there again.
It was very warm as they had all the fires alight.
