Love coming back to Pepper Chef. We had spicy lotus root, prawn toasts, cumin lamb and beef skewers this time. Chef kiss. Service is always efficient and you never have to wait long for the food to arrive.

The food here is always delicious, it is my favourite Chinese restaurant! The menu has so many different options and the cuisine is very authentic and features something for every taste. My favourite dish is the spicy stir fried pork intestine, however there are plenty of other options for those who fancy tamer culinary choices such as sweet and sour chicken or ribs with rice or chips and everything in between. Always an excellent place to visit, one thing to note is that it is cash only.

If you want cheap and cheerful authentic Chinese food with no frills then go here. Near the Hippodrome. I would recommend ordering Jasmine tea with your meal. We had the King prawn fried rice which was delicious.

Haven't been there in a while, but excited they now take cards (used to be cash only). The food remains consistent in quality, and the portions are still satisfactory. Considering the price for a Chinese restaurant, it's acceptable.

Good and yummy food and service was ok. It wasn’t friendly but that’s just Asian service for you 😂 It was very hot inside the restaurant though because of the weather so wasn’t really that comfortable. Cash only payment which makes it inconvenient but there is a cash machine down the road.

Authentic, vast variety of choices, things you can't find anywhere else, some of my favourite dishes here. The pork burgers are to die for. And something you don't find easily: durian desert - I'm addicted to. And still reasonable prices. Thank you guys. I'm a regular here.

Who likes hot and sour noodle soup?🙋‍♀️ I always love eating hot stuff especially noodle soup during winter time. After a visiting my customer in Birmingham China town, I had a veggie lunch in Pepper Chef. Pepper Chef 📍 1B, Hurst St, Birmingham B5 4TD WHAT I HAD 🍜Pickled Vegetable Rice Noodle Soup 🥟Pan Fried Beancurd & Chinese Mushroom Dumpling The Pickled Vegetable Rice Noodle Soup was quite big in portion. It consisted of pickled vegetable, pak choi, coriander, beans, seasoned egg and Sichuan chilli. The noodles were slippery and soft. The soup base was hot and sour. I kept sweating during eating the noodles but I did love this feeling 🔥♥️🔥♥️ How’s the dumplings? See my next post on Instagram @ccgyozalover for details 🤗 These lovely & yummy vegetable dishes warmed me up during this winter time. What’s your favourite dish during winter?

I could not fault the service of the food here. Dined two nights in succession. Both times serive was super. Sring rolls and beef black bean first night and seafood noodles with prawn toast second night. Great value all round and many Chinese people dining there too which is always a good sign

Situated in the Chinese Quarter, Birmingham. Good ambience. Baby changing area and disabled toilet is clean and spacious. Restaurant is big and spacious itself even at busy hours it is possible to get a space. The atmosphere is not too noisy. Lighting is sufficient. Food is authentic. I have had the noodles soup and they are on point. I would recommend it.

Always a delight coming to Pepper Chef. The renovation of kitchen looks good. Food is as always good and friendly staff. Menu seems to be a bit more organised which is much better and clear. Good portions, clean environment and excellent service. I recommend it if you like fuss free Hong Kong style food.
