Went for a meal while i was visiting family, i had a surf and turf, it was beautiful.. everything was cooked to perfection and i was able to add the scampi which i was very happy about.. well done to the chef that was there about 8pm, would return and recommend. Thank you... keep up the good work �
Real community pub,,very friendly, the sort of place you could go and have a meal/drink by yourself. Always enjoy our visits. Food is typical pub food but on the whole very good. Good mix of different age groups too which I like.
First time visit today to The Royal Oak, having passed many times before but not stopped off to check it out and give a review before.
The staff member who served me at the bar was polite, happy and friendly - giving a warm welcome from the start. Everyone else working here give off the same impression too.
Music at a comfortable level, temperature and light all just right for a great relaxed visit.
Outside at front and back, there is tonnes of space to sit. With sheltered spots for that British weather.
Only one small note for improvement, but doesn't impact my visit at all. Could do with getting one of the Gents toilet door locks repaired and the soap dispenser. There was soap there in a bottle on the side though.
Very glad popped in here this afternoon just for a drink this time, will definitely return again and try some of the food too as looked delicious! Thanks for the nice experience.
I recently visited The Royal Oak pub in Halesowen and it exceeded all my expectations! The service was exceptionally friendly and the staff were so helpful with advice on drinks and food. The menu was two pages of deliciousness and the drinks selection was really impressive. The food itself was amazing; the portions were large and flavoursome. I had the steak and chips which was cooked perfectly and was of top quality. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was a great place to catch up with friends. I would highly recommend The Royal Oak in Halesowen for anyone looking for a great evening out!
This is a great pub and today's visit was suburb. Had a brilliant meal that was cooked well and quality ingredients with terrific service.
As it was 40% of today the food tasted even better :)
I came to the Royal Oak for my friends birthday meal in early June. We had a table of 8 and the staff were so accommodating with arranging tables and even helped decorate the area! Service was extremely fast and everyone was super helpful when ordering food and drinks. Food was delicious and great value! We had a fabulous time and will definitely be returning more regularly, highly recommend! Great night, thank you to Claire and the team
Visited on Monday as a large group and the service was fantastic! It was quite busy for a Monday night and being a big group we wouldn’t have minded having to wait, but the food was sent out really quickly! Staff were really friendly and helpful, didn’t manage to catch them as we left so just wanted to say thank you on here!

A fantastic pub with great choices of drink and food available. The Refurb is great. It's Lovely to see a busy pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The outside space is great in this weather for a family, couple or a group of friends. I will be returning tomorrow for drinks with friends. And I will be back next week with the family for a meal. 😊
Had an amazing time at the Royal Oak on Saturday which happened to be disco night 🪩. I went to go get a drink at the bar and pleasantly approached the lovely and smart Brooke! She was incredibly enthusiastic and welcoming! Made my experience at the Royal Oak very enjoyable.
Didn't have food but it looked nice when other tables got there's. Nice place, friendly staff and clean toilets. Cocktail were good and they have a disco last Saturday of the month which I hear is very good. They were doing a quiz but questions to hard for me 😔. I would recommend a visit
I had a roast at the Royal Oak yesterday and after hearing a customer at the bar being quite rude towards the staff about hers I have to say my roast was amazing. I’ve had roast dinners there before which were nice but since the new menu they’re even better and I couldn’t fault it! Will definitely return for another soon. The staff were very understanding to the other customer I must say and offered her a replacement meal and complimentary drinks with no issues at all and I have always found staff to be very helpful and friendly and always strive to ensure customers have a good experience. Great new menu, great food, pub looks amazing since the refurb and can’t fault the staff or service. Just great all round!
