4th March 2017, we were 17 members of our family had food here.super service , Delicious food, lots of variety of starters, main course, desserts and drinks.
wonderful atmosphere, very very polite and efficient staff.
clean , hygenic plates, well washed and dry forks and knives.NOT A COMPLAINT BUT TOO MANY PEOPLE WERE WAITING FOR TABLES, MAY BE WAITING FOR GOOD FOOD. RAJA MANSOOR
In search of new Hotel v landed up in Hajees Spices and we were blown away with the Menu and the quantity offered. I can only say that Hajees Spices is the only hotel in UK who has given ample quantity in Main course. Appreciate the quantity provided!
Quantity: Main course is more
Quality: Good
Ambience: Decent and Good
Highlight: All Halal items- Chicken Keema, Chicken Archari and Sheesh Kebab.
Lowlights: Chicken wings and other chicken starters r not skinless. Ppl who love skinless need to fight peeling off skin..:)
Food is nice the tropical balti is my fav but recently chefs seem to have changed it. Nice place just like everyday cooking.
I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. its definitley worth the time it took us to reach there. I went with my friends and all of us liked the ambiance, food quality, and the layout and design of the restaurant. We ordered a Whole Roasted Chicken, mixed grill, murgh makhani, hyderabadi chicken curry, and rice. I must say that their Murgh Makhani was superb! Their mixed grill and roasted chicken were very good.
The restaurant has a unique traditional Indian/Pakistani look that is accompanied by suitable background music. The toilets looked nice and the standard of hygiene is kept high always. The prices are reasonable and not really as high as you would expect.
Good place to have quick real punjabi buffet. Food was average but the price is very cheap, like £7.95 for eat as much as u like also includes all drinks only soft drinks. Place is reasonably clean compare to other places on the same street. Very ideal for family and groups.
Great variety of food. Great price too. Nice decor of the restaurant friendly staff.
On arrival we were seated immediately. The server who seated us seemed a little, uncomfortable. However did this did not ruin our experience. This is the first time that we had visited Hajee Spices.
The restaurant outside looks rather large however inside looks small. We sat at the front right next to the buffet which was convenient for myself as a disabled person. This restaurant is wheelchair accessible as there is more seating towards the back.
The restaurant is clean. And decor of the restaurant is really nice we especially loved the lamps.
The buffet section is small my only concern is that the same cutlery is used for meat and veg starters. Which is an concern for the meat eaters, however has my mum is a vegetarian she will not be able to eat at this restaurant due to the cross contamination of meat and veg. On this basis I can only rate 4 stars.
There is a good choice of starters, in fact this restaurant has to be one of the best all you can eat buffets for the starters my husband I were not disappointed. On the mains we were a little disappointed would say that the food was average. There's also a wide choice of mains weirdly enough they don't serve boiled rice not that I could see anyway. (Also if they could label the vegetarian dishes from the meat as this will be easier). Also the desserts were brilliant perfect portions small sweet to satisfy after a good meal.
This restaurant is family friendly there was one particular server who was consistent, and very smiley which is always great.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family and a to £10 per head including drinks you cannot go wrong.
See you again soon.
Good buffet lot of variety available i like it specially unlimited drinks
Excellent buffet for the prices loads of variety nice comfortable atmosphere
Good value for the price. Good mix of starters, tikka kebab samosas chicken bites. 6-7 main dishes didn't get round to trying. A couple of desserts too. Best part probably the inclusive unlimited drinks and ice cream machine. Modest clean place not over the top.
Lovely buffet very tasty starters I loved the kebabs and samosa and most things were fresh which was great. There was boiled rice in response to a review saying there wasn't I didn't try it though. I didn't try the mains as I had so much starters but the dessert was yum! Ice cream was great. I came here for a birthday party as the back of the restaurant is an area which can be booked and I found the day enjoyable. The waiters were not that visible in the back but it was ok as we didn't need them for the most part anyhow. This place was not nice as a restaurant and I must say I am impressed with this small but tasty buffet.
Me and my bf went on a Thursday evening, surprisingly it wasn't very busy which was great, a staff member saying "help yourself" upon arrival really made us want to dive in!
All the food was great, good choices, not overly hot or spicey.
Desserts section was my favourite, loved the ice cream machine, my first time using it.
We had about 3 plate fulls and we're completely stuffed :D
Only thing was that there was no tissue in the bathroom and the hand dryer was not working.
But beautiful place! Would definitely go again :)
This place offers quick buffet, great for lunch if you're in a hurry and just want a big heaping meal. The atmosphere isn't like a five star hotel in there, expect some dropped food on the floor, some spills etc., but overall they have a nice array of Indian food choices. Servers are busy and moving about a lot in there, rather bustling, if you want a bit of peace and quiet, sit at the back as there is more dining space there.. would come here again!
Real value for money. Only £10 for an adult for the buffet, the currys I tried were all very delicious and the starters were tasty as well. There isn't the biggest selection of food but it's only a small restaurant and the quality more than makes up for it.
